¹³ Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord^[a] has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

³² Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.^[a](A)

²⁵ “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”^[a](A)

¹³ For judgment will be without mercy to anyone who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.^(A)

¹⁴ “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,^{(A) 15} but if you do not forgive others,^[a] neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.^(B)

³⁵ Instead, love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return.^[a] Your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.^{(A) 36} Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Judging Others

³⁷ “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven;^(B)

Please Others, Not Yourselves

15 We who are strong ought to put up with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.^{(A) 2} Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.^(B)

³ Be on your guard! If a brother or sister sins, you must rebuke the offender, and if there is repentance, you must forgive.^{(A) 4} And if the same person sins against you seven times a day and turns back to you seven times and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive.”^(B)
