¹⁰ and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.^(A)

¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.^(A)

¹⁶ for in^[a] him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. ¹⁷ He himself is before all things, and in^[b] him all things hold together. ¹⁸ He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything.^(A)

²² who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers made subject to him.^(A)

²⁰ God^[a] put this power to work in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,^{[b](A) 21} far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age to come.^{(B) 22} And he has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church,^{(C) 23} which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.^(D)

⁹ and having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him,^(A)

³⁰ In contrast, God is why you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,^{(A) 31} in order that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in^[a] the Lord.”^(B)

¹⁵ but speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,^{(A) 16} from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.
