^3 (A)We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,

The Thessalonians' Faith and Example

^2 (A)We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly^{[a] (B)}mentioning you in our prayers,

Guard the Deposit Entrusted to You

^3 (A)I thank God ^(B)whom I serve, as did my ancestors, ^(C)with a clear conscience, as I remember you ^(D)constantly in my prayers night and day.

⁹ And so, ^(A)from the day we heard, ^(B)we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that ^(C)you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all ^(D)spiritual wisdom and understanding,

Thanksgiving

⁴ I ^(A)give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus,

¹⁶ Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, ^(A)who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good ^(B)hope through grace, ¹⁷ comfort your hearts and ^(C)establish them in every good work and word.

¹⁰ as we pray most earnestly ^(A)night and day ^(B)that we may see you face to face and ^(C)supply what is lacking in your faith?

¹¹ Now may ^(D)our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, ^(E)direct our way to you, ¹² and may the Lord ^(F)make you increase and abound in love ^(G)for one another and for all, as we do for you, ¹³ so that he may ^(H)establish your hearts blameless in holiness before ^(I)our God and Father, at ^(J)the coming of our Lord Jesus ^(K)with all his saints.
