²³ provided that you continue securely established and steadfast in the faith, without shifting from the hope promised by the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature^[a] under heaven. I, Paul, became a minister of this gospel.^(A)

¹⁴ For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.

⁶ Christ, however, was faithful over God’s^[a] house as a son, and we are his house if we hold firm^[b] the boldness and the pride inspired by hope.^(A)

¹³ But the one who endures to the end will be saved.^{(A) 14} And this good news^[a] of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.^(B)

⁹ So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.^(A)

¹⁷ and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.

⁵ because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. You have heard of this hope before in the word of the truth, the gospel^{(A) 6} that has come to you. Just as it is bearing fruit and growing in the whole world, so it has been bearing fruit among yourselves from the day you heard it and truly comprehended the grace of God.^(B)

²² There they strengthened the souls of the disciples and encouraged them to continue in the faith, saying, “It is through many persecutions that we must enter the kingdom of God.”^(A)

¹⁸ But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have:
