¹⁴ in whom we have redemption,^[a] the forgiveness of sins.

⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace^(A)

²⁴ they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,^{(A) 25} whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement^[a] by his blood, effective through faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed;^(B)

¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.^{(A) 20} He was destined before the foundation of the world but was revealed at the end of the ages for your sake.^(B)

²² Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.^(A)

¹² he entered once for all into the holy place, not with the blood of goats and calves but with his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.^(A)

⁹ They sing a new song:

¹³ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”^(A)—

³⁸ Let it be known to you therefore, brothers and sisters,^[a] that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you;^{(A) 39} by this Jesus^[b] everyone who believes is set free from all those sins^[c] from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.^(B)

²⁸ just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many.”^(A)
