Cantares 4
La Palabra (España)
Amado
4 ¡Qué hermosa eres, amor mío!
¡Qué hermosa eres!
Tus ojos son palomas entre el velo,
y tu pelo, un rebaño de cabras
que baja las laderas de Galaad.
2 Tus dientes, un rebaño esquilado
recién salido del baño;
cada oveja con mellizos,
no hay ni una estéril.
3 Una cinta carmesí son tus labios,
deliciosos cuando hablas;
dos mitades de granada
tus mejillas tras tu velo.
4 Tu cuello es la torre de David
destinada a museo de armas:
mil escudos penden de ella,
las adargas de los héroes.
5 Tus dos pechos,
dos crías mellizas de gacela
paciendo entre azucenas.
6 Mientras despunta el día
y se esfuman las sombras,
iré al monte de la mirra,
al otero del incienso.
7 ¡Tú eres toda hermosa, amor mío!
¡No hay en ti ningún defecto!
8 Ven, novia, desde el Líbano,
vente del Líbano, vuelve;
debajo de tu lengua;
y el olor de tus vestidos
es como aroma del Líbano.
12 Eres jardín cerrado,
hermana y novia mía,
eres jardín cerrado,
fuente secreta.
13 De ti brota un jardín de granados
con frutos exquisitos,
de alheña y de nardo;
14 nardo y azafrán,
canela y cinamomo;
con toda clase de árboles
de incienso, mirra y áloe,
con las más selectas especias.
15 ¡Fuente de los jardines,
manantial de agua viva
que fluye desde el Líbano!
Amada
16 ¡Despierta, cierzo!
¡Ven aquí, ábrego!
Oread mi jardín,
que esparza sus aromas.
Que venga mi amor a su jardín
y coma de sus frutos exquisitos.
Cantares 4

3 Tus labios son cual cinta carmesí;
construida con piedras labradas;
de ella penden mil escudos,
escudos de guerreros todos ellos.
5 Tus pechos parecen dos cervatillos,
dos crías mellizas de gacela
que pastan entre azucenas.
6 Antes de que el día despunte
y se desvanezcan las sombras,
subiré a la montaña de la mirra,
a la colina del incienso.
7 Toda tú eres bella, amada mía;
no hay en ti defecto alguno.
8 Desciende del Líbano conmigo, novia mía;
con una mirada de tus ojos;
11 Tus labios, novia mía, destilan miel;
leche y miel escondes bajo la lengua.
Cual perfume del Líbano
es el perfume de tus vestidos.
12 Jardín cerrado eres tú,
hermana y novia mía.
Fuente cerrada y sellado manantial.
13 Tus plantas son un huerto de granadas
con frutos exquisitos
flores de nardo y azahar;
14 con toda clase de árbol de incienso,
nardo y azafrán;
con cálamo y canela,
mirra y áloe
y con las más finas especias.
15 Eres fuente de los jardines,
manantial de aguas vivas,
arroyo que del Líbano desciende.
La amada
16 ¡Viento del norte, despierta!
¡Viento del sur, ven acá!
Soplen en mi jardín;
¡esparzan su fragancia!
Que venga mi amado a su jardín
y pruebe sus frutos exquisitos.
Song of Solomon 4
Darby Translation
4 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; Thine eyes are doves behind thy veil; Thy hair is as a flock of goats, On the slopes of mount Gilead.
2 Thy teeth are like a flock of shorn sheep, Which go up from the washing; Which have all borne twins, And none is barren among them.
3 Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, And thy speech is comely; As a piece of a pomegranate are thy temples Behind thy veil.
4 Thy neck is like the tower of David, Built for an armoury: A thousand bucklers hang thereon, All shields of mighty men.
5 Thy two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle, Which feed among the lilies.
6 Until the day dawn, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, And to the hill of frankincense.
7 Thou art all fair, my love; And there is no spot in thee.
8 [Come] with me, from Lebanon, [my] spouse, With me from Lebanon,—Come, look from the top of Amanah, From the top of Senir and Hermon, From the lions' dens, From the mountains of the leopards.
9 Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, [my] spouse; Thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, With one chain of thy neck.
10 How fair is thy love, my sister, [my] spouse! How much better is thy love than wine! And the fragrance of thine ointments than all spices!
11 Thy lips, [my] spouse, drop [as] the honeycomb; Honey and milk are under thy tongue; And the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.
12 A garden enclosed is my sister, [my] spouse; A spring shut up, a fountain sealed.
13 Thy shoots are a paradise of pomegranates, with precious fruits; Henna with spikenard plants;
14 Spikenard and saffron; Calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; Myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:
15 A fountain in the gardens, A well of living waters, Which stream from Lebanon.
16 Awake, north wind, and come, [thou] south; Blow upon my garden, [that] the spices thereof may flow forth. Let my beloved come into his garden, And eat its precious fruits.
