1 El cantar[a] de los cantares de Salomón(A).
LA ESPOSA:
2 ¶«¡Que me bese con los besos de su boca!
Porque mejores son tus amores que el vino(B).
3 -»Tus ungüentos tienen olor agradable(C),
Tu nombre es como ungüento purificado(D);
Por eso te aman las doncellas(E).
4 -»Llévame en pos de ti(F) y corramos juntos.
El rey me ha llevado a sus cámaras».
EL CORO:
«Nos regocijaremos y nos alegraremos en ti,
Exaltaremos tu amor más que el vino.
Con razón te aman(G)».
LA ESPOSA:
5 ¶«Soy morena pero preciosa(H),
Oh hijas de Jerusalén(I),
Como las tiendas de Cedar(J),
Como las cortinas de Salomón.
6 -»No se fijen en que soy morena,
Porque el sol me ha quemado.
Los hijos de mi madre se enojaron conmigo(K);
Me pusieron a guardar las viñas(L),
Pero mi propia viña no guardé.
7 -»Dime, amado de mi alma(M):
¿Dónde apacientas tu rebaño(N)?
¿Dónde lo haces descansar al mediodía?
¿Por qué he de ser yo como una que se cubre con velo(O)
Junto a los rebaños de tus compañeros(P)?».

¡Oh la más hermosa de las mujeres(Q)!,
Sal tras las huellas del rebaño,
Y apacienta tus cabritas

11 ¶«Haremos para ti adornos de oro
Con cuentas de plata».
LA ESPOSA:
12 ¶«Mientras el rey estaba a la mesa,
Mi perfume esparció su fragancia(V).
13 -»Mi amado es para mí como bolsita de mirra(W)
Que reposa toda la noche entre mis pechos.
14 -»Ramillete de flores de alheña(X) es mi amado para mí
En las viñas de En Gadi(Y)».
EL ESPOSO:
15 ¶«¡Cuán hermosa eres, amada mía,
Cuán hermosa eres!
Tus ojos son como palomas(Z)».
LA ESPOSA:
16 ¶«¡Cuán hermoso eres, amado mío(AA),
Y tan placentero!
Ciertamente nuestro lecho es de exuberante verdor.

2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth!
For your love is better than wine;(B)
3 your anointing oils are fragrant;
your name is perfume poured out;
therefore the maidens love you.(C)
4 Draw me after you; let us make haste.
The king has brought me into his chambers.
We will exult and rejoice in you;
we will extol your love more than wine;
rightly do they love you.(D)
5 I am black and beautiful,
O daughters of Jerusalem,
like the tents of Kedar,
like the curtains of Solomon.(E)
6 Do not gaze at me because I am dark,
because the sun has gazed on me.
My mother’s sons were angry with me;
they made me keeper of the vineyards,
but my own vineyard I have not kept!(F)
7 Tell me, you whom my soul loves,
where you pasture your flock,
where you make it lie down at noon,
for why should I be like one who is veiled
beside the flocks of your companions?(G)
8 If you do not know,
O fairest among women,
follow the tracks of the flock
and pasture your kids
beside the shepherds’ tents.(H)

10 Your cheeks are comely with ornaments,

my nard gave forth its fragrance.
13 My beloved is to me a bag of myrrh
that lies between my breasts.
14 My beloved is to me a cluster of henna blossoms
in the vineyards of En-gedi.(K)
15 Ah, you are beautiful, my love;
ah, you are beautiful;
your eyes are doves.(L)
16 Ah, you are beautiful, my beloved,
truly lovely.
Our couch is green;
17 the beams of our house are cedar;
