2 Ah, si me besaras con los besos de tu boca…[b]
¡grato en verdad es tu amor, más que el vino!
3 Grata es también de tus perfumes la fragancia;
tú mismo eres[c] bálsamo fragante.
¡Con razón te aman las doncellas!
4 ¡Hazme del todo tuya![d] ¡Date prisa!
¡Llévame, oh rey, a tu alcoba!

Regocijémonos y deleitémonos juntos,
celebraremos tus caricias más que el vino.
¡Sobran las razones para amarte!

5 Morena soy, pero hermosa,
hijas de Jerusalén;
morena como las tiendas de Cedar,
hermosa como los tapices de Salmá.[e]
6 No os fijéis en mi tez morena,
ni en que el sol me bronceó la piel.
Mis hermanos se enfadaron contra mí,
y me obligaron a cuidar las viñas;
¡y mi propia viña descuidé!
7 Cuéntame, amor de mi vida,
¿dónde apacientas tus rebaños?,
¿dónde a la hora de la siesta[f] los haces reposar?
¿Por qué he de andar vagando[g]
entre los rebaños de tus amigos?

8 Si no lo sabes, bella entre las bellas,
ve tras la huella del rebaño
y apacienta a tus cabritos
junto a las moradas de los pastores.

me recordáis a las yeguas enjaezadas
de los carros del faraón.
10 ¡Qué hermosas lucen tus mejillas entre los pendientes!
¡Qué hermoso luce tu cuello entre los collares!
11 ¡Haremos para ti pendientes de oro
con incrustaciones de plata!

mi perfume esparce su fragancia.

que duerme entre mis pechos.

Una alfombra de verdor es nuestro lecho,

1 Cantar de los cantares, el cual es de Salomón.(A)
2 ¡Oh, si él me besara con besos de su boca!
Porque mejores son tus amores que el vino.
3 A más del olor de tus suaves ungüentos,
Tu nombre es como ungüento derramado;
Por eso las doncellas te aman.
4 Atráeme; en pos de ti correremos.
El rey me ha metido en sus cámaras;
Nos gozaremos y alegraremos en ti;
Nos acordaremos de tus amores más que del vino;
Con razón te aman.
5 Morena soy, oh hijas de Jerusalén, pero codiciable
Como las tiendas de Cedar,
Como las cortinas de Salomón.
6 No reparéis en que soy morena,
Porque el sol me miró.
Los hijos de mi madre se airaron contra mí;
Me pusieron a guardar las viñas;
Y mi viña, que era mía, no guardé.
7 Hazme saber, oh tú a quien ama mi alma,
Dónde apacientas, dónde sesteas al mediodía;
Pues ¿por qué había de estar yo como errante
Junto a los rebaños de tus compañeros?
8 Si tú no lo sabes, oh hermosa entre las mujeres,
Ve, sigue las huellas del rebaño,
Y apacienta tus cabritas junto a las cabañas de los pastores.

14 Racimo de flores de alheña en las viñas de En-gadi

15 He aquí que tú eres hermosa, amiga mía;
He aquí eres bella; tus ojos son como palomas.
16 He aquí que tú eres hermoso, amado mío, y dulce;
Nuestro lecho es de flores.
17 Las vigas de nuestra casa son de cedro,
Y de ciprés los artesonados.

2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.
3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.
7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
8 If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents.
9 I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots.
10 Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold.
11 We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver.
12 While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.
13 A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.
14 My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.
15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.
16 Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.

where you graze your flock

beside the flocks of your friends?

and graze your young goats
