Drugi popis Izraelaca
26 Nakon pomora, BOG je rekao Mojsiju i Eleazaru, sinu svećenika Arona: 2 »Popišite cijelu izraelsku zajednicu prema obiteljima. Upišite sve muškarce u dobi od dvadeset godina i starije, a koji su sposobni služiti u izraelskoj vojsci.«
3 Tada su bili na Moapskim poljanama, pokraj rijeke Jordan, nasuprot Jerihona. Mojsije i svećenik Eleazar rekli su narodu: 4 »Načinite popis muškaraca u dobi od dvadeset godina i starije, kao što je BOG zapovjedio Mojsiju.«
Ovo su Izraelci koji su izašli iz Egipta:
5 Potomci Rubena, Izraelovog prvorođenoga sina:
od Hanoka, obitelj Hanokovaca;
od Palua, obitelj Paluovaca;
6 od Hesrona, obitelj Hesronovaca;
od Karmija, obitelj Karmijevaca.
7 Bile su to Rubenove obitelji, a upisano je 43.730 muškaraca.
8 Palu je imao sina Eliaba, 9 a Eliab sinove Nemuela, Datana i Abirama. Radi se o Datanu i Abiramu, vođama zajednice, koji su se bili pobunili protiv Mojsija i Arona i koji su bili s Korahovim pristalicama kad su se pobunili protiv BOGA. 10 Zemlja se otvorila i progutala ih zajedno s Korahom i svim pristalicama. Vatra je tada progutala dvije stotine i pedeset ljudi. Tako su oni postali znak upozorenja, 11 ali Korahova loza nije izumrla.
12 Šimunovi potomci prema svojim obiteljima:
od Nemuela, obitelj Nemuelovaca;
od Jamina, obitelj Jaminovaca;
od Jakina, obitelj Jakinovaca;
13 od Zeraha, obitelj Zerahovaca;
od Šaula, obitelj Šaulovaca.
14 Bile su to Šimunove obitelji, a upisano je 22.200 muškaraca.
15 Gadovi potomci prema svojim obiteljima:
od Sefona, obitelj Sefonovaca;
od Hagija, obitelj Hagijevaca;
od Šunija, obitelj Šunijevaca;
16 od Oznija, obitelj Oznijevaca;
od Erija, obitelj Erijevaca;
17 od Aroda, obitelj Arodovaca;
od Arelija, obitelj Arelijevaca.
18 Bile su to Gadove obitelji, a upisano je 40.500 muškaraca.
19 Judini su sinovi bili Er i Onan, ali su umrli još u Kanaanu.
20 Drugi Judini potomci prema svojim obiteljima:
od Šele, obitelj Šelijevaca;
od Peresa, obitelj Peresovaca;

51 Ukupan je broj popisanih izraelskih muškaraca bio 601.730.
52 BOG je rekao Mojsiju: 53 »Neka im se zemlja dodijeli u nasljedstvo prema broju imena. 54 Većem plemenu daj veće nasljedstvo, a manjem plemenu daj manje nasljedstvo. Neka svako pleme dobije svoje nasljedstvo prema broju popisanih muškaraca. 55 Zemlja neka se podijeli kockom u nasljedstvo. Svaki dio zemlje neka se nazove prema imenu plemena. 56 Bilo da je pleme veliko ili malo, neka mu se nasljedstvo dodijeli kockom.«
57 Ovo su Leviti koji su prebrojani prema svojim obiteljima:
od Geršona, obitelj Geršonovaca;
od Kehata, obitelj Kehatovaca;
od Merarija, obitelj Merarijevaca.
58 I ovo su bile obitelji Levita:
obitelj Libnijevaca,
obitelj Hebronovaca,
obitelj Mahlijevaca,
obitelj Mušijevaca,
obitelj Korahovaca.
(Kehat je bio Amramov predak. 59 Amramova žena zvala se Jokebeda i bila je Levijev potomak, rođena Levitima u Egiptu. Jokebeda je Amramu rodila Arona, Mojsija i njihovu sestru Mirjam. 60 Aronu su se rodili Nadab i Abihu, Eleazar i Itamar, 61 ali Nadab i Abihu su poginuli kad su pred BOGOM prinijeli nepropisnu vatru.)
62 Upisano je 23.000 muških Levita u dobi od mjesec dana naviše. Nisu bili ubrojani s ostalim Izraelcima jer nisu dobili nasljedstvo među njima.
63 Ljude su upisali Mojsije i svećenik Eleazar dok su popisivali Izraelce. Bilo je to na Moapskim poljanama, pokraj rijeke Jordan, nasuprot Jerihona. 64 Među popisanima nije bio ni jedan čovjek iz prethodnog popisa Izraelaca koji su izvršili Mojsije i svećenik Aron u Sinajskoj pustinji. 65 Jer, BOG je rekao tim Izraelcima da će sigurno umrijeti u pustinji pa nije ostao ni jedan od njih osim Kaleba, Jefuneovog sina, i Jošue, Nunovog sina.

26 And it came to pass after the plague, that the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, throughout their fathers' house, all that are able to go to war in Israel.
3 And Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
4 Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as the Lord commanded Moses and the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt.
5 Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben; Hanoch, of whom cometh the family of the Hanochites: of Pallu, the family of the Palluites:
6 Of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7 These are the families of the Reubenites: and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
8 And the sons of Pallu; Eliab.
9 And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the Lord:
10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.
11 Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.
12 The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites: of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites: of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites:
13 Of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites: of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.
14 These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty and two thousand and two hundred.

16 Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites: of Eri, the family of the Erites:

19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan: and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.

25 These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and four thousand and three hundred.
26 Of the sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites: of Elon, the family of the Elonites: of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.
27 These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those that were numbered of them, threescore thousand and five hundred.
28 The sons of Joseph after their families were Manasseh and Ephraim.
29 Of the sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir begat Gilead: of Gilead come the family of the Gileadites.
30 These are the sons of Gilead: of Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites: of Helek, the family of the Helekites:
31 And of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites: and of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites:
32 And of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites: and of Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.
33 And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
34 These are the families of Manasseh, and those that were numbered of them, fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.
35 These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites: of Becher, the family of the Bachrites: of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.
36 And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.
37 These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families.
38 The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites: of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites: of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites:
39 Of Shupham, the family of the Shuphamites: of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.
40 And the sons of Bela were ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites: and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.
41 These are the sons of Benjamin after their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.
42 These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families.
43 All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were threescore and four thousand and four hundred.
44 Of the children of Asher after their families: of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites: of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites: of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.
45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites: of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.
46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.
47 These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them; who were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
48 Of the sons of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: of Guni, the family of the Gunites:
49 Of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites: of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
50 These are the families of Naphtali according to their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.
51 These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.
52 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
53 Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54 To many thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to few thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.
55 Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56 According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few.
57 And these are they that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites: of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites: of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
58 These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat Amram.
59 And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60 And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before the Lord.
62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
63 These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
64 But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65 For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

26 Después de la mortandad, el Señor les dijo a Moisés y al sacerdote Eleazar hijo de Aarón: 2 «Haced un censo de toda la comunidad israelita por sus familias patriarcales. Alistad a los varones mayores de veinte años que sean aptos para el servicio militar en Israel».
3 Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar hablaron con el pueblo en las llanuras de Moab, cerca del Jordán, a la altura de Jericó, y le ordenaron 4 levantar un censo de todos los varones mayores de veinte años, tal como el Señor se lo había mandado a Moisés.
Los israelitas que salieron de Egipto fueron los siguientes:
5-6 De Enoc, Falú, Jezrón y Carmí, hijos de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel, proceden los siguientes clanes: los enoquitas, los faluitas, los jezronitas y los carmitas. 7 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Rubén. Su número llegó a cuarenta y tres mil setecientos treinta hombres.
8 Eliab fue el único hijo de Falú. 9 Los hijos de Eliab fueron Nemuel, Datán y Abirán. Estos son los mismos Datán y Abirán que, no obstante haber sido escogidos por la comunidad como oficiales, se rebelaron contra Moisés y Aarón junto con la facción de Coré cuando este último se rebeló contra el Señor. 10 En esa ocasión, la tierra abrió sus fauces y se los tragó junto con Coré, muriendo también sus seguidores. El fuego devoró a doscientos cincuenta hombres, y este hecho los convirtió en una señal de advertencia. 11 Sin embargo, los hijos de Coré no perecieron.
12-13 De Nemuel, Jamín, Zera y Saúl, hijos de Simeón, proceden los siguientes clanes: los nemuelitas, los jaminitas, los zeraítas y los saulitas. 14 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Simeón. Su número llegó a veintidós mil doscientos hombres.
15-17 De Zefón, Jaguí, Suni, Ozni, Erí, Arodí y Arelí, hijos de Gad, proceden los siguientes clanes: los zefonitas, los jaguitas, los sunitas, los oznitas, los eritas, los aroditas y los arelitas. 18 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Gad. Su número llegó a cuarenta mil quinientos hombres.
19-20 Er y Onán eran hijos de Judá, pero ambos murieron en Canaán. De sus hijos Selá, Fares y Zera proceden los siguientes clanes: los selaítas, los faresitas y los zeraítas.
21 De Jezrón y de Jamul, hijos de Fares, proceden los clanes jezronitas y jamulitas. 22 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Judá. Su número llegó a setenta y seis mil quinientos hombres.
23-24 De Tola, Fuvá, Yasub y Simrón, hijos de Isacar, proceden los siguientes clanes: los tolaítas, los fuvitas, los yasubitas y los simronitas. 25 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Isacar. Su número llegó a sesenta y cuatro mil trescientos hombres.
26 De Séred, Elón y Yalel, hijos de Zabulón, proceden los siguientes clanes: los sereditas, los elonitas y los yalelitas. 27 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Zabulón. Su número llegó a sesenta mil quinientos hombres.
28 De Manasés y Efraín, hijos de José, proceden los siguientes clanes:
29 De Maquir hijo de Manasés y de Galaad hijo de Maquir proceden el clan maquirita y el clan galaadita.
30-32 De Jezer, Jélec, Asriel, Siquén, Semidá y Héfer, hijos de Galaad, proceden los siguientes clanes: los jezeritas, los jelequitas, los asrielitas, los siquenitas, los semidaítas y los heferitas. 33 Zelofejad hijo de Héfer no tuvo hijos, sino solo hijas, cuyos nombres eran Majlá, Noa, Joglá, Milca y Tirsá. 34 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Manasés. Su número llegó a cincuenta y dos mil setecientos hombres.
35 De Sutela, Béquer y Taján, hijos de Efraín, proceden los siguientes clanes: los sutelaítas, los bequeritas y los tajanitas.
36 De Erán hijo de Sutela procede el clan de los eranitas. 37 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Efraín. Su número llegó a treinta y dos mil quinientos hombres.
Todos estos clanes descendieron de José.
38-39 De Bela, Asbel, Ajirán, Sufán y Jufán, hijos de Benjamín, proceden los siguientes clanes: los belaítas, los asbelitas, los ajiranitas, los sufanitas y los jufanitas.
40 De Ard y Naamán, hijos de Bela, proceden los clanes de los arditas y de los naamanitas. 41 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Benjamín. Su número llegó a cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos hombres.
42 De Suján hijo de Dan procede el clan de los sujanitas, que fueron los únicos clanes danitas. 43 Su número llegó a sesenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos hombres.
44 De Imná, Isví y Beriá, hijos de Aser, proceden los siguientes clanes: los imnaítas, los isvitas y los beriaítas.
45 De Héber y Malquiel, hijos de Beriá, proceden los clanes de los heberitas y de los malquielitas. 46 Aser tuvo una hija llamada Sera. 47 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Aser. Su número llegó a cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos hombres.
48-49 De Yazel, Guní, Jéser y Silén, hijos de Neftalí, proceden los siguientes clanes: los yazelitas, los gunitas, los jeseritas y los silenitas. 50 Estos son los clanes de la tribu de Neftalí. Su número llegó a cuarenta y cinco mil cuatrocientos hombres.
51 Los hombres de Israel eran en total seiscientos un mil setecientos treinta.
Instrucciones para el reparto de la tierra
52 El Señor le dijo a Moisés: 53 «Reparte la tierra entre estas tribus para que sea su heredad. Hazlo según el número de nombres registrados. 54 A la tribu más numerosa le darás la heredad más grande, y a la tribu menos numerosa le darás la heredad más pequeña. Cada tribu recibirá su heredad en proporción al número de censados. 55 La tierra deberá repartirse por sorteo, según el nombre de las tribus patriarcales. 56 El sorteo se hará entre todas las tribus, grandes y pequeñas».
Censo de los levitas
57 De los levitas Guersón, Coat y Merari proceden los clanes guersonitas, coatitas y meraritas.
58 De los levitas proceden también los siguientes clanes: los libnitas, los hebronitas, los majlitas, los musitas y los coreítas. Coat fue el padre de Amirán. 59 La esposa de Amirán se llamaba Jocabed hija de Leví, y había nacido en Egipto. Los hijos que ella tuvo de Amirán fueron Aarón y Moisés, y su hermana Miriam. 60 Aarón fue el padre de Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar, 61 pero Nadab y Abiú murieron bajo el juicio del Señor por haberle ofrecido fuego profano.
62 Los levitas mayores de un mes de edad fueron en total veintitrés mil. Pero no fueron censados junto con los demás israelitas porque no habrían de recibir heredad entre ellos.
63 Estos fueron los israelitas censados por Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar, cuando los contaron en las llanuras de Moab, cerca del río Jordán, a la altura de Jericó. 64 Entre los censados no figuraba ninguno de los registrados en el censo que Moisés y Aarón habían hecho antes en el desierto del Sinaí, 65 porque el Señor había dicho que todos morirían en el desierto. Con la excepción de Caleb hijo de Jefone y de Josué hijo de Nun, ninguno de ellos quedó con vida.
