25 Três dias depois de ter chegado para ocupar o cargo de governador, Festo foi de Cesareia para Jerusalém. 2 Lá, os líderes dos sacerdotes e os judeus mais importantes da cidade lhe apresentaram as acusações que tinham contra Paulo. Eles também lhe pediram 3 que lhes fizesse este favor: que enviasse Paulo para Jerusalém. (Eles estavam preparando uma cilada para matá-lo durante a viagem.)

Paul’s Trial Before Festus
25 Three days after arriving in the province, Festus(A) went up from Caesarea(B) to Jerusalem, 2 where the chief priests and the Jewish leaders appeared before him and presented the charges against Paul.(C) 3 They requested Festus, as a favor to them, to have Paul transferred to Jerusalem, for they were preparing an ambush to kill him along the way.(D)
