Apertura del settimo sigillo
8 (A)Quando l’Agnello aprì il settimo sigillo, si fece silenzio nel cielo per circa mezz’ora.
2 Poi vidi i sette angeli che stanno in piedi davanti a Dio, e furono date loro sette trombe.
3 E venne un altro angelo con un incensiere d’oro; si fermò presso l’altare e gli furono dati molti profumi affinché li offrisse con le preghiere di tutti i santi sull’altare d’oro posto davanti al trono. 4 E dalla mano dell’angelo il fumo dei profumi salì davanti a Dio, insieme alle preghiere dei santi. 5 Poi l’angelo prese l’incensiere, lo riempì del fuoco dell’altare e lo gettò sulla terra, e ci furono tuoni, voci, lampi e un terremoto.
Le prime sei trombe
6 (B)I sette angeli che avevano le sette trombe si prepararono a suonare.
7 Il primo[a] suonò la tromba, e grandine e fuoco, mescolati con sangue, furono scagliati sulla terra. E fu bruciato un terzo della terra[b], un terzo degli alberi ed ogni erba verde.
8 Poi il secondo angelo suonò la tromba, e una massa simile a una grande montagna ardente[c] fu gettata nel mare. Un terzo del mare diventò sangue, 9 un terzo delle creature viventi che erano nel mare morì e un terzo delle navi andò distrutto.
10 Poi il terzo angelo suonò la tromba, e dal cielo cadde una grande stella, ardente come una torcia, che piombò su un terzo dei fiumi e sulle sorgenti delle acque. 11 Il nome della stella è Assenzio; e un terzo delle acque diventò assenzio. Molti uomini morirono a causa di quelle acque, perché erano diventate amare.
12 Poi il quarto angelo suonò la tromba, e fu colpito un terzo del sole, della luna e delle stelle: un terzo della loro luce si spense e il chiarore del giorno, come quello della notte, diminuì di un terzo.
13 Guardai, e udii un’aquila[d] che volava in mezzo al cielo e diceva a gran voce: «Guai, guai, guai agli abitanti della terra, a causa degli altri suoni di tromba che i tre angeli stanno per suonare!»

The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer
8 When he opened the seventh seal,(A) there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels(B) who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.(C)
3 Another angel,(D) who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people,(E) on the golden altar(F) in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God(G) from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar,(H) and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder,(I) rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.(J)
The Trumpets
6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets(K) prepared to sound them.
7 The first angel(L) sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire(M) mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third(N) of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.(O)
8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain,(P) all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third(Q) of the sea turned into blood,(R) 9 a third(S) of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky(T) on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water(U)— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third(V) of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.(W)
12 The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third(X) of them turned dark.(Y) A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.(Z)
13 As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair(AA) call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe(AB) to the inhabitants of the earth,(AC) because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

3 (A)Angẹli mìíràn sì wá, ó sì dúró ti pẹpẹ, ó ní àwo tùràrí wúrà kan a sì fi tùràrí púpọ̀ fún un, láti máa fi kún àdúrà gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ lórí pẹpẹ, pẹpẹ wúrà tí ń bẹ níwájú ìtẹ́. 4 Àti èéfín tùràrí náà pẹ̀lú àdúrà àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ sì gòkè lọ síwájú Ọlọ́run láti ọwọ́ angẹli náà wá. 5 (B)Angẹli náà sì mú àwo tùràrí náà, ó sì fi iná orí pẹpẹ kùn ún, ó sì dà á sórí ilẹ̀ ayé: A sì gbọ́ ohùn, àrá sì sán, mọ̀nàmọ́ná sì kọ, àti ilẹ̀-rírì.

6 Àwọn angẹli méje náà tí wọn ni ìpè méje sì múra láti fún wọn.
7 (C)Èkínní sì fọn ìpè tirẹ̀: Yìnyín àti iná, tí o dàpọ̀ pẹ̀lú ẹ̀jẹ̀, sì jáde, a sì dà wọ́n sórí ilẹ̀ ayé: ìdámẹ́ta ilẹ̀ ayé si jóná, ìdámẹ́ta àwọn igi sì jóná, àti gbogbo koríko tútù sì jóná.
8 (D)Angẹli kejì si fún ìpè tirẹ̀, a sì sọ ohun kan, bí òkè-ńlá tí ń jóná, sínú Òkun: ìdámẹ́ta Òkun si di ẹ̀jẹ̀; 9 àti ìdámẹ́ta àwọn ẹ̀dá tí ń bẹ nínú Òkun tí ó ni ẹ̀mí sì kú; àti ìdámẹ́ta àwọn ọkọ̀ si bàjẹ́.
10 (E)Angẹli kẹta sì fún ìpè tirẹ̀, ìràwọ̀ ńlá kan tí ń jó bí fìtílà sì bọ́ láti ọ̀run wá, ó sì bọ́ sórí ìdámẹ́ta àwọn odò ṣíṣàn, àti sórí àwọn orísun omi; 11 A sì ń pe orúkọ ìràwọ̀ náà ní Iwọ, ìdámẹ́ta àwọn omi sì di iwọ, ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ènìyàn sì tí ipa àwọn omi náà kú, nítorí tí a sọ wọn di kíkorò.
12 Angẹli kẹrin sì fún ìpè tirẹ̀, a sì kọlu ìdámẹ́ta oòrùn, àti ìdámẹ́ta òṣùpá, àti ìdámẹ́ta àwọn ìràwọ̀, ki ìdámẹ́ta wọn lè ṣókùnkùn, kí ọjọ́ má ṣe mọ́lẹ̀ fún ìdámẹ́ta rẹ̀, àti òru bákan náà.
13 Mo sì wò, mo sì gbọ́ idì kan tí ń fò ni àárín ọ̀run, ó ń wí lóhùn rara pé, “Ègbé, ègbé, fún àwọn tí ń gbé orí ilẹ̀ ayé nítorí ohun ìpè ìyókù tí àwọn angẹli mẹ́ta tí ń bọ̀ wá yóò fún!”
