II. LE VISIONI PROFETICHE
1. PRELIMINARI DEL "GRANDE GIORNO" DI DIO
Dio affida all'Agnello i destini del mondo
4 Dopo ciò ebbi una visione: una porta era aperta nel cielo. La voce che prima avevo udito parlarmi come una tromba diceva: Sali quassù, ti mostrerò le cose che devono accadere in seguito. 2 Subito fui rapito in estasi. Ed ecco, c'era un trono nel cielo, e sul trono uno stava seduto. 3 Colui che stava seduto era simile nell'aspetto a diaspro e cornalina. Un arcobaleno simile a smeraldo avvolgeva il trono. 4 Attorno al trono, poi, c'erano ventiquattro seggi e sui seggi stavano seduti ventiquattro vegliardi avvolti in candide vesti con corone d'oro sul capo. 5 Dal trono uscivano lampi, voci e tuoni; sette lampade accese ardevano davanti al trono, simbolo dei sette spiriti di Dio. 6 Davanti al trono vi era come un mare trasparente simile a cristallo. In mezzo al trono e intorno al trono vi erano quattro esseri viventi pieni d'occhi davanti e di dietro. 7 Il primo vivente era simile a un leone, il secondo essere vivente aveva l'aspetto di un vitello, il terzo vivente aveva l'aspetto d'uomo, il quarto vivente era simile a un'aquila mentre vola. 8 I quattro esseri viventi hanno ciascuno sei ali, intorno e dentro sono costellati di occhi; giorno e notte non cessano di ripetere:
Santo, santo, santo
il Signore Dio, l'Onnipotente,
Colui che era, che è e che viene!
9 E ogni volta che questi esseri viventi rendevano gloria, onore e grazie a Colui che è seduto sul trono e che vive nei secoli dei secoli, 10 i ventiquattro vegliardi si prostravano davanti a Colui che siede sul trono e adoravano Colui che vive nei secoli dei secoli e gettavano le loro corone davanti al trono, dicendo:
11 «Tu sei degno, o Signore e Dio nostro,
di ricevere la gloria, l'onore e la potenza,
perché tu hai creato tutte le cose,
e per la tua volontà furono create e sussistono».

4 После сего я взглянул, и вот, дверь отверста на небе, и прежний голос, который я слышал как бы звук трубы, говоривший со мною, сказал: взойди сюда, и покажу тебе, чему надлежит быть после сего.
2 И тотчас я был в духе; и вот, престол стоял на небе, и на престоле был Сидящий;
3 и Сей Сидящий видом был подобен камню яспису и сардису; и радуга вокруг престола, видом подобная смарагду.
4 И вокруг престола двадцать четыре престола; а на престолах видел я сидевших двадцать четыре старца, которые облечены были в белые одежды и имели на головах своих золотые венцы.
5 И от престола исходили молнии и громы и гласы, и семь светильников огненных горели перед престолом, которые суть семь духов Божиих;
6 и перед престолом море стеклянное, подобное кристаллу; и посреди престола и вокруг престола четыре животных, исполненных очей спереди и сзади.
7 И первое животное было подобно льву, и второе животное подобно тельцу, и третье животное имело лице, как человек, и четвертое животное подобно орлу летящему.
8 И каждое из четырех животных имело по шести крыл вокруг, а внутри они исполнены очей; и ни днем, ни ночью не имеют покоя, взывая: свят, свят, свят Господь Бог Вседержитель, Который был, есть и грядет.
9 И когда животные воздают славу и честь и благодарение Сидящему на престоле, Живущему во веки веков,
10 тогда двадцать четыре старца падают пред Сидящим на престоле, и поклоняются Живущему во веки веков, и полагают венцы свои перед престолом, говоря:
11 достоин Ты, Господи, приять славу и честь и силу: ибо Ты сотворил все, и [все] по Твоей воле существует и сотворено.

The Throne in Heaven
4 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open(A) in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet(B) said, “Come up here,(C) and I will show you what must take place after this.”(D) 2 At once I was in the Spirit,(E) and there before me was a throne in heaven(F) with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper(G) and ruby.(H) A rainbow(I) that shone like an emerald(J) encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders.(K) They were dressed in white(L) and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder.(M) In front of the throne, seven lamps(N) were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a](O) of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,(P) clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,(Q) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.(R) 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.(S) 8 Each of the four living creatures(T) had six wings(U) and was covered with eyes all around,(V) even under its wings. Day and night(W) they never stop saying:
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne(Z) and who lives for ever and ever,(AA) 10 the twenty-four elders(AB) fall down before him(AC) who sits on the throne(AD) and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

4 此后，我观看，见天上有门开了。我初次听见好像吹号的声音对我说：“你上到这里来，我要将以后必成的事指示你。” 2 我立刻被圣灵感动，见有一个宝座安置在天上，又有一位坐在宝座上。 3 看那坐着的，好像碧玉和红宝石，又有虹围着宝座，好像绿宝石。 4 宝座的周围又有二十四个座位，其上坐着二十四位长老，身穿白衣，头上戴着金冠冕。 5 有闪电、声音、雷轰从宝座中发出。又有七盏火灯在宝座前点着，这七灯就是神的七灵。 6 宝座前好像一个玻璃海，如同水晶。宝座中和宝座周围有四个活物，前后遍体都满了眼睛。 7 第一个活物像狮子，第二个像牛犊，第三个脸面像人，第四个像飞鹰。 8 四活物各有六个翅膀，遍体内外都满了眼睛。他们昼夜不住地说：“圣哉，圣哉，圣哉，主神是昔在、今在、以后永在的全能者！”

9 每逢四活物将荣耀、尊贵、感谢归给那坐在宝座上、活到永永远远者的时候， 10 那二十四位长老就俯伏在坐宝座的面前，敬拜那活到永永远远的，又把他们的冠冕放在宝座前，说： 11 “我们的主，我们的神，你是配得荣耀、尊贵、权柄的，因为你创造了万物，并且万物是因你的旨意被创造而有的。”
