El séptimo sello
8 Cuando él abrió el séptimo sello, se hizo silencio en el cielo como por media hora. 2 Y vi a los siete ángeles que estaban de pie delante de Dios, y les fueron dadas siete trompetas. 3 Y otro ángel vino y se puso de pie delante del altar. Tenía un incensario de oro, y le fue dado mucho incienso para que lo añadiese a las oraciones de todos los santos sobre el altar de oro, que estaba delante del trono. 4 Y el humo del incienso con las oraciones de los santos subió de la mano del ángel en presencia de Dios. 5 Y el ángel tomó el incensario, lo llenó con fuego del altar y lo arrojó sobre la tierra. Y se produjeron truenos y estruendos y relámpagos y un terremoto.
Las siete trompetas
6 Los siete ángeles que tenían las siete trompetas se dispusieron a tocarlas.
7 El primero tocó la trompeta. Y se produjo granizo y fuego mezclados con sangre, y fueron arrojados sobre la tierra. Y la tercera parte de la tierra fue quemada, y la tercera parte de los árboles fue quemada, y toda la hierba verde fue quemada.
8 El segundo ángel tocó la trompeta. Y algo como un gran monte ardiendo con fuego fue lanzado al mar. Y la tercera parte del mar se convirtió en sangre; 9 y murió la tercera parte de las criaturas vivientes que estaban en el mar, y la tercera parte de los barcos fue destruida.
10 El tercer ángel tocó la trompeta. Y cayó del cielo una gran estrella, ardiendo como una antorcha; y cayó sobre la tercera parte de los ríos y sobre las fuentes de agua. 11 El nombre de la estrella es Ajenjo. Y la tercera parte de las aguas se convirtió en ajenjo, y muchos hombres murieron por las aguas, porque fueron hechas amargas.
12 El cuarto ángel tocó la trompeta. Y fue herida la tercera parte del sol, la tercera parte de la luna y la tercera parte de las estrellas, de manera que se oscureció la tercera parte de ellos, y no alumbraba el día durante una tercera parte, y también la noche de la misma manera.
13 Miré y oí volar un águila[a] por en medio del cielo, diciendo a gran voz: “¡Ay, ay, ay de los que habitan en la tierra, por razón de los demás toques de trompeta que los tres ángeles aún han de tocar!”.

8 Cuando el Cordero abrió el séptimo sello, hubo silencio en el cielo durante una media hora. 2 Vi entonces que a los siete ángeles que estaban de pie ante Dios se les dieron siete trompetas, 3 y otro ángel vino con un incensario de oro, y se detuvo ante el altar.(A) A ese ángel se le dio mucho incienso para que lo añadiera a las oraciones de todos los santos, y lo ofreciera sobre el altar de oro que estaba delante del trono. 4 De la mano del ángel subió el humo del incienso a la presencia de Dios, junto con las oraciones de los santos. 5 El ángel tomó el incensario, lo llenó con fuego del altar,(B) y ese fuego lo arrojó a la tierra.(C) Hubo entonces truenos, voces, relámpagos y un terremoto.(D)
Las trompetas
6 Los siete ángeles se dispusieron a tocar las siete trompetas que tenían.
7 Cuando el primer ángel tocó su trompeta, cayeron sobre la tierra granizo y fuego(E) mezclados con sangre, con lo que se quemó la tercera parte de la tierra, la tercera parte de los árboles y toda la hierba verde.
8 Cuando el segundo ángel tocó su trompeta, cayó sobre el mar algo parecido a una gran montaña en llamas, y la tercera parte del mar se convirtió en sangre, 9 con lo que murió la tercera parte de todo lo que vivía en el mar y fue destruida la tercera parte de las embarcaciones.
10 Cuando el tercer ángel tocó su trompeta, del cielo cayó una gran estrella,(F) la cual ardía como una antorcha. Cayó sobre la tercera parte de los ríos, y sobre los manantiales de agua. 11 El nombre de esa estrella es Amargura, así que la tercera parte de las aguas se volvió amarga, y mucha gente murió por causa de esas aguas amargas.
12 Cuando el cuarto ángel tocó su trompeta, fue tal el daño que sufrieron el sol, la luna y las estrellas, que perdieron una tercera parte de su brillo,(G) y también se oscureció una tercera parte del día, lo mismo que una tercera parte de la noche.
13 Miré entonces, y oí que un águila revoloteaba en medio del cielo y a grandes voces gritaba: «¡Ay, ay, ay! ¡Pobres de los habitantes de la tierra cuando suenen las trompetas que están a punto de tocar los otros tres ángeles!»

The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer
8 When he opened the seventh seal,(A) there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels(B) who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.(C)
3 Another angel,(D) who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people,(E) on the golden altar(F) in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God(G) from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar,(H) and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder,(I) rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.(J)
The Trumpets
6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets(K) prepared to sound them.
7 The first angel(L) sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire(M) mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third(N) of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.(O)
8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain,(P) all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third(Q) of the sea turned into blood,(R) 9 a third(S) of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky(T) on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water(U)— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third(V) of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.(W)
12 The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third(X) of them turned dark.(Y) A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.(Z)
13 As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair(AA) call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe(AB) to the inhabitants of the earth,(AC) because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
