7 Después de esto vi a cuatro ángeles en pie sobre los cuatro ángulos de la tierra, que detenían los cuatro vientos(A) de la tierra, para que no soplase viento alguno sobre la tierra, ni sobre el mar, ni sobre ningún árbol. 2 Vi también a otro ángel que subía de donde sale el sol, y tenía el sello del Dios vivo; y clamó a gran voz a los cuatro ángeles, a quienes se les había dado el poder de hacer daño a la tierra y al mar, 3 diciendo: No hagáis daño a la tierra, ni al mar, ni a los árboles, hasta que hayamos sellado en sus frentes a los siervos de nuestro Dios.(B) 4 Y oí el número de los sellados: ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil sellados de todas las tribus de los hijos de Israel. 5 De la tribu de Judá, doce mil sellados. De la tribu de Rubén, doce mil sellados. De la tribu de Gad, doce mil sellados. 6 De la tribu de Aser, doce mil sellados. De la tribu de Neftalí, doce mil sellados. De la tribu de Manasés, doce mil sellados. 7 De la tribu de Simeón, doce mil sellados. De la tribu de Leví, doce mil sellados. De la tribu de Isacar, doce mil sellados. 8 De la tribu de Zabulón, doce mil sellados. De la tribu de José, doce mil sellados. De la tribu de Benjamín, doce mil sellados.
La multitud vestida de ropas blancas
9 Después de esto miré, y he aquí una gran multitud, la cual nadie podía contar, de todas naciones y tribus y pueblos y lenguas, que estaban delante del trono y en la presencia del Cordero, vestidos de ropas blancas, y con palmas en las manos; 10 y clamaban a gran voz, diciendo: La salvación pertenece a nuestro Dios que está sentado en el trono, y al Cordero. 11 Y todos los ángeles estaban en pie alrededor del trono, y de los ancianos y de los cuatro seres vivientes; y se postraron sobre sus rostros delante del trono, y adoraron a Dios, 12 diciendo: Amén. La bendición y la gloria y la sabiduría y la acción de gracias y la honra y el poder y la fortaleza, sean a nuestro Dios por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
13 Entonces uno de los ancianos habló, diciéndome: Estos que están vestidos de ropas blancas, ¿quiénes son, y de dónde han venido? 14 Yo le dije: Señor, tú lo sabes. Y él me dijo: Estos son los que han salido de la gran tribulación,(C) y han lavado sus ropas, y las han emblanquecido en la sangre del Cordero. 15 Por esto están delante del trono de Dios, y le sirven día y noche en su templo; y el que está sentado sobre el trono extenderá su tabernáculo sobre ellos. 16 Ya no tendrán hambre ni sed, y el sol no caerá más sobre ellos, ni calor alguno;(D) 17 porque el Cordero que está en medio del trono los pastoreará,(E) y los guiará a fuentes de aguas de vida;(F) y Dios enjugará toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos.(G)

7 Después de esto, vi cuatro ángeles que estaban en pie sobre los cuatro puntos cardinales, deteniendo los cuatro vientos para que no soplaran sobre la tierra ni sobre el mar ni sobre ningún árbol. 2 También vi otro ángel que venía del oriente, y que tenía el sello del Dios viviente. Este ángel gritó con fuerte voz a los otros cuatro que habían recibido poder para hacer daño a la tierra y al mar: 3 «¡No hagan daño a la tierra ni al mar ni a los árboles, mientras no hayamos puesto un sello en la frente a los siervos de nuestro Dios!»
4 Y oí el número de los que así fueron señalados: ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil de entre todas las tribus israelitas. 5 Fueron señalados doce mil de la tribu de Judá, doce mil de la tribu de Rubén, doce mil de la tribu de Gad, 6 doce mil de la tribu de Aser, doce mil de la tribu de Neftalí, doce mil de la tribu de Manasés, 7 doce mil de la tribu de Simeón, doce mil de la tribu de Leví, doce mil de la tribu de Isacar, 8 doce mil de la tribu de Zabulón, doce mil de la tribu de José y doce mil de la tribu de Benjamín.
9 Después de esto, miré y vi una gran multitud de todas las naciones, razas, lenguas y pueblos. Estaban en pie delante del trono y delante del Cordero, y eran tantos que nadie podía contarlos. Iban vestidos de blanco y llevaban palmas en las manos. 10 Todos gritaban con fuerte voz:
«¡La salvación se debe a nuestro Dios
que está sentado en el trono,
y al Cordero!»
11 Y todos los ángeles estaban en pie alrededor del trono y de los ancianos y de los cuatro seres vivientes; y se inclinaron delante del trono hasta tocar el suelo con la frente, y adoraron a Dios 12 diciendo:
«¡Amén!
La alabanza, la gloria,
la sabiduría, la gratitud,
el honor, el poder y la fuerza
sean dados a nuestro Dios por todos los siglos.
¡Amén!»
13 Entonces uno de los ancianos me preguntó: «¿Quiénes son estos que están vestidos de blanco, y de dónde han venido?» 14 «Tú lo sabes, señor», le contesté. Y él me dijo: «Éstos son los que han pasado por la gran tribulación, los que han lavado sus ropas y las han blanqueado en la sangre del Cordero.
15 »Por eso están delante del trono de Dios,
y día y noche le sirven en su templo.
El que está sentado en el trono
los protegerá con su presencia.
16 Ya no sufrirán hambre ni sed,
ni los quemará el sol,
ni el calor los molestará;
17 porque el Cordero, que está en medio del trono,
será su pastor
y los guiará a manantiales de aguas de vida,
y Dios secará toda lágrima de sus ojos.»

7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners(A) of the earth, holding back the four winds(B) of the earth to prevent(C) any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal(D) of the living God.(E) He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:(F) 3 “Do not harm(G) the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads(H) of the servants of our God.” 4 Then I heard the number(I) of those who were sealed: 144,000(J) from all the tribes of Israel.
5 From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed,
from the tribe of Reuben 12,000,
from the tribe of Gad 12,000,
6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000,
from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000,
from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,
7 from the tribe of Simeon 12,000,
from the tribe of Levi 12,000,
from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,
8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000,
from the tribe of Joseph 12,000,
from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.
The Great Multitude in White Robes
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language,(K) standing before the throne(L) and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes(M) and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders(P) and the four living creatures.(Q) They fell down on their faces(R) before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”(S)
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes(T)—who are they, and where did they come from?”
14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes(U) and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.(V) 15 Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God(W)
and serve him(X) day and night in his temple;(Y)
and he who sits on the throne(Z)
will shelter them with his presence.(AA)
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.(AB)
The sun will not beat down on them,’[a]
nor any scorching heat.(AC)
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;(AD)
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’[b](AE)
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’[c]”(AF)

7 Dopo ciò, vidi quattro angeli che stavano ai quattro angoli della terra, e trattenevano i quattro venti, perché non soffiassero sulla terra, né sul mare, né su alcuna pianta.
2 Vidi poi un altro angelo che saliva dall'oriente e aveva il sigillo del Dio vivente. E gridò a gran voce ai quattro angeli ai quali era stato concesso il potere di devastare la terra e il mare: 3 «Non devastate né la terra, né il mare, né le piante, finché non abbiamo impresso il sigillo del nostro Dio sulla fronte dei suoi servi».
4 Poi udii il numero di coloro che furon segnati con il sigillo: centoquarantaquattromila, segnati da ogni tribù dei figli d'Israele:
5 dalla tribù di Giuda dodicimila;
dalla tribù di Ruben dodicimila;
dalla tribù di Gad dodicimila;
6 dalla tribù di Aser dodicimila;
dalla tribù di Nèftali dodicimila;
dalla tribù di Manàsse dodicimila;
7 dalla tribù di Simeone dodicimila;
dalla tribù di Levi dodicimila;
dalla tribù di Issacar dodicimila;
8 dalla tribù di Zàbulon dodicimila;
dalla tribù di Giuseppe dodicimila;
dalla tribù di Beniamino dodicimila.

9 Dopo ciò, apparve una moltitudine immensa, che nessuno poteva contare, di ogni nazione, razza, popolo e lingua. Tutti stavano in piedi davanti al trono e davanti all'Agnello, avvolti in vesti candide, e portavano palme nelle mani. 10 E gridavano a gran voce:
«La salvezza appartiene al nostro Dio seduto sul trono e all'Agnello».
11 Allora tutti gli angeli che stavano intorno al trono e i vegliardi e i quattro esseri viventi, si inchinarono profondamente con la faccia davanti al trono e adorarono Dio dicendo:
12 «Amen! Lode, gloria, sapienza, azione di grazie, onore, potenza e forza al nostro Dio nei secoli dei secoli. Amen».
13 Uno dei vegliardi allora si rivolse a me e disse: «Quelli che sono vestiti di bianco, chi sono e donde vengono?». 14 Gli risposi: «Signore mio, tu lo sai». E lui: «Essi sono coloro che sono passati attraverso la grande tribolazione e hanno lavato le loro vesti rendendole candide col sangue dell'Agnello. 15 Per questo stanno davanti al trono di Dio e gli prestano servizio giorno e notte nel suo santuario; e Colui che siede sul trono stenderà la sua tenda sopra di loro.
16 Non avranno più fame,
né avranno più sete,
né li colpirà il sole,
né arsura di sorta,
17 perché l'Agnello che sta in mezzo al trono
sarà il loro pastore
e li guiderà alle fonti delle acque della vita.
E Dio tergerà ogni lacrima dai loro occhi».

7 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
