II.— LOS SIETE SELLOS (4,1—8,1)
El trono de Dios
4 Después de todo esto tuve una visión. Vi una puerta abierta en el cielo, y aquella voz como de trompeta que me había hablado primero, me dijo:
— Sube aquí, que voy a mostrarte lo que tiene que suceder en adelante.
2 Al instante caí en éxtasis, y vi un trono colocado en medio del cielo y alguien sentado en él. 3 El que estaba sentado resplandecía como el jaspe y el sardonio, mientras un halo de color esmeralda rodeaba el trono alrededor. 4 Rodeando también el trono había otros veinticuatro tronos y, sentados en ellos, veinticuatro ancianos vestidos de blanco y ceñidas sus cabezas con coronas de oro. 5 Relámpagos y truenos fragorosos salían del trono ante el que ardían siete lámparas, que eran los siete espíritus de Dios; 6 y un mar transparente, como de cristal, se extendía también delante del trono. En medio del trono y a su alrededor había cuatro seres vivientes, todo ojos por delante y por detrás. 7 El primero era semejante a un león; el segundo, como un toro; con rostro como de hombre el tercero; y el cuarto, semejante a un águila en pleno vuelo. 8 Cada uno de los cuatro vivientes tenía seis alas y eran todo ojos por fuera y por dentro. Día y noche proclaman sin descanso:
— Santo, santo, santo,
Señor Dios, dueño de todo,
el que era, el que es,
el que está a punto de llegar.
9 Y cada vez que los cuatro vivientes tributan gloria y honor y acción de gracias al que está sentado en el trono, al que vive por siempre, 10 los veinticuatro ancianos caen de rodillas ante el que está sentado en el trono, adoran al que vive por siempre y arrojan sus coronas a los pies del trono, diciendo:
11 — Señor y Dios nuestro:
¡Nadie como tú merece recibir
la gloria, el honor y el poder!
Porque tú has creado todas las cosas;
en tu designio existían,
y conforme a él fueron creadas.

4 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The Throne in Heaven
4 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open(A) in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet(B) said, “Come up here,(C) and I will show you what must take place after this.”(D) 2 At once I was in the Spirit,(E) and there before me was a throne in heaven(F) with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper(G) and ruby.(H) A rainbow(I) that shone like an emerald(J) encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders.(K) They were dressed in white(L) and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder.(M) In front of the throne, seven lamps(N) were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a](O) of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,(P) clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,(Q) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.(R) 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.(S) 8 Each of the four living creatures(T) had six wings(U) and was covered with eyes all around,(V) even under its wings. Day and night(W) they never stop saying:
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne(Z) and who lives for ever and ever,(AA) 10 the twenty-four elders(AB) fall down before him(AC) who sits on the throne(AD) and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

4 Sau các việc ấy, tôi nhìn trước mặt thì thấy có một cửa mở ra trên thiên đàng. Tiếng tôi nghe trước đây vang như tiếng kèn, lại nói, “Hãy lên đây, ta sẽ cho ngươi thấy những gì sắp xảy đến.” 2 Tôi lập tức cảm nhận Thánh Linh, thấy trước mặt tôi một ngôi trên thiên đàng, trên ngôi có Đấng đang ngồi. 3 Đấng ngồi trên ngôi giống loại đá quí, như cẩm thạch và mã não. Quanh ngôi có cái mống, màu như bửu thạch. 4 Quanh ngôi lại có hai mươi bốn ngôi khác, trên đó có hai mươi bốn trưởng lão đang ngồi. Tất cả đều mặc áo trắng, đầu đội mão triều thiên vàng. 5 Sấm chớp vang rầm lòe ra từ ngôi. Trước ngôi có bảy ngọn đèn đang cháy là bảy thần linh của Thượng Đế. 6 Lại cũng có vật gì trông giống như biển bằng gương, trong suốt như pha lê. Ở chính giữa và quanh ngôi có bốn con vật, trên thân đầy mắt, phía trước và phía sau. 7 Con vật thứ nhất giống như sư tử. Con thứ hai giống như bò con. Con thứ ba có mặt giống như người và con thứ tư giống như phượng hoàng đang bay. 8 Mỗi con vật có sáu cánh, mình đầy những mắt, bên trong và bên ngoài. Đêm ngày chúng kêu lên không nghỉ:
“Thánh thay, thánh thay, thánh thay.
Chúa là Thượng Đế Toàn Năng.
Ngài trước đã có, nay hiện có và đang đến.”
9 Mỗi khi bốn con vật dâng vinh hiển, danh dự và cảm tạ cho Đấng ngồi trên ngôi là Đấng sống đời đời 10 thì hai mươi bốn trưởng lão cúi mình trước Đấng ngồi trên ngôi và bái lạy Ngài là Đấng sống đời đời. Họ đặt mão triều thiên xuống trước ngôi và thưa rằng:
11 “Lạy Chúa là Thượng Đế,
Ngài đáng được vinh hiển, danh dự và quyền năng,
vì Ngài đã tạo nên muôn vật.
Mọi vật hiện có đều được tạo dựng theo ý muốn Ngài.”
