Dios Habla Hoy

21 Después vi un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva; porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra habían dejado de existir, y también el mar.

2 Vi la ciudad santa, la nueva Jerusalén, que bajaba del cielo, de la presencia de Dios. Estaba arreglada como una novia vestida para su prometido. 3 Y oí una fuerte voz que venía del trono, y que decía: «Aquí está el lugar donde Dios vive con los hombres. Vivirá con ellos, y ellos serán sus pueblos, y Dios mismo estará con ellos como su Dios. 4 Secará todas las lágrimas de ellos, y ya no habrá muerte, ni llanto, ni lamento, ni dolor; porque todo lo que antes existía ha dejado de existir.»

5 El que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: «Yo hago nuevas todas las cosas.» Y también dijo: «Escribe, porque estas palabras son verdaderas y dignas de confianza.»

6 Después me dijo: «Ya está hecho. Yo soy el alfa y la omega, el principio y el fin. Al que tenga sed le daré a beber del manantial del agua de la vida, sin que le cueste nada. 7 El que salga vencedor recibirá todo esto como herencia; y yo seré su Dios y él será mi hijo. 8 Pero en cuanto a los cobardes, los incrédulos, los odiosos, los asesinos, los que cometen inmoralidades sexuales, los que practican la brujería, los que adoran ídolos, y todos los mentirosos, a ellos les tocará ir al lago de azufre ardiente, que es la segunda muerte.»

9 Vino uno de los siete ángeles que tenían las siete copas llenas de las siete últimas calamidades, y me dijo: «Ven, que te voy a enseñar a la novia, la esposa del Cordero.» 10 Y en la visión que me hizo ver el Espíritu, el ángel me llevó a un monte grande y alto, y me mostró la gran ciudad santa de Jerusalén, que bajaba del cielo, de la presencia de Dios. 11 La ciudad brillaba con el resplandor de Dios; su brillo era como el de una piedra preciosa, como un diamante, transparente como el cristal. 12 Alrededor de la ciudad había una muralla grande y alta, que tenía doce puertas, y en cada puerta había un ángel; en las puertas estaban escritos los nombres de las doce tribus de Israel. 13 Tres puertas daban al este, tres al norte, tres al sur y tres al oeste. 14 La muralla de la ciudad tenía doce piedras por base, en las que estaban escritos los nombres de los doce apóstoles del Cordero.

15 El ángel que hablaba conmigo llevaba una caña de oro para medir la ciudad, sus puertas y su muralla. 16 La ciudad era cuadrada; su largo era igual a su ancho. El ángel midió con su caña la ciudad: medía doce mil estadios; su largo, su alto y su ancho eran iguales. 17 Luego midió la muralla: medía ciento cuarenta y cuatro codos, según las medidas humanas que el ángel estaba usando.

18 La muralla estaba hecha de diamante, y la ciudad era de oro puro, como vidrio pulido. 19 Las piedras de la base de la muralla estaban adornadas con toda clase de piedras preciosas: la primera, con diamante; la segunda, con zafiro; la tercera, con ágata; la cuarta, con esmeralda; 20 la quinta, con ónice; la sexta, con rubí; la séptima, con crisólito; la octava, con berilo; la novena, con topacio; la décima, con crisoprasa; la undécima, con jacinto; y la duodécima, con amatista. 21 Las doce puertas eran doce perlas; cada puerta estaba hecha de una sola perla. Y la calle principal de la ciudad era de oro puro, como vidrio transparente.

22 No vi ningún santuario en la ciudad, porque el Señor, el Dios todopoderoso, es su santuario, y también el Cordero. 23 La ciudad no necesita ni sol ni luna que la alumbren, porque la alumbra el resplandor de Dios, y su lámpara es el Cordero. 24 Las naciones caminarán a la luz de la ciudad, y los reyes del mundo le entregarán sus riquezas. 25 Sus puertas no se cerrarán de día, y en ella no habrá noche. 26 Le entregarán las riquezas y el esplendor de las naciones; 27 pero nunca entrará nada impuro, ni nadie que haga cosas odiosas o engañosas. Solamente entrarán los que tienen su nombre escrito en el libro de la vida del Cordero.

21 Vi un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva;(A) porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra pasaron, y el mar ya no existía más. 2 Y yo Juan vi la santa ciudad,(B) la nueva Jerusalén, descender del cielo, de Dios,(C) dispuesta como una esposa ataviada para su marido.(D) 3 Y oí una gran voz del cielo que decía: He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios con los hombres, y él morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo,(E) y Dios mismo estará con ellos como su Dios. 4 Enjugará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y ya no habrá muerte,(F) ni habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor;(G) porque las primeras cosas pasaron.

5 Y el que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: He aquí, yo hago nuevas todas las cosas. Y me dijo: Escribe; porque estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas. 6 Y me dijo: Hecho está. Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el principio y el fin. Al que tuviere sed, yo le daré gratuitamente(H) de la fuente del agua de la vida. 7 El que venciere heredará todas las cosas, y yo seré su Dios, y él será mi hijo.(I) 8 Pero los cobardes e incrédulos, los abominables y homicidas, los fornicarios y hechiceros, los idólatras y todos los mentirosos tendrán su parte en el lago que arde con fuego y azufre, que es la muerte segunda.

La nueva Jerusalén

9 Vino entonces a mí uno de los siete ángeles que tenían las siete copas llenas de las siete plagas postreras, y habló conmigo, diciendo: Ven acá, yo te mostraré la desposada, la esposa del Cordero. 10 Y me llevó en el Espíritu a un monte grande y alto, y me mostró la gran ciudad santa de Jerusalén,(J) que descendía del cielo, de Dios, 11 teniendo la gloria de Dios. Y su fulgor era semejante al de una piedra preciosísima, como piedra de jaspe, diáfana como el cristal. 12 Tenía un muro grande y alto con doce puertas; y en las puertas, doce ángeles, y nombres inscritos, que son los de las doce tribus de los hijos de Israel; 13 al oriente tres puertas; al norte tres puertas; al sur tres puertas; al occidente tres puertas.(K) 14 Y el muro de la ciudad tenía doce cimientos, y sobre ellos los doce nombres de los doce apóstoles del Cordero.

15 El que hablaba conmigo tenía una caña de medir, de oro, para medir la ciudad, sus puertas y su muro.(L) 16 La ciudad se halla establecida en cuadro, y su longitud es igual a su anchura; y él midió la ciudad con la caña, doce mil estadios; la longitud, la altura y la anchura de ella son iguales. 17 Y midió su muro, ciento cuarenta y cuatro codos, de medida de hombre, la cual es de ángel. 18 El material de su muro era de jaspe; pero la ciudad era de oro puro, semejante al vidrio limpio; 19 y los cimientos del muro de la ciudad estaban adornados con toda piedra preciosa. El primer cimiento era jaspe; el segundo, zafiro; el tercero, ágata; el cuarto, esmeralda; 20 el quinto, ónice; el sexto, cornalina; el séptimo, crisólito; el octavo, berilo; el noveno, topacio; el décimo, crisopraso; el undécimo, jacinto; el duodécimo, amatista. 21 Las doce puertas eran doce perlas;(M) cada una de las puertas era una perla. Y la calle de la ciudad era de oro puro, transparente como vidrio.

22 Y no vi en ella templo; porque el Señor Dios Todopoderoso es el templo de ella, y el Cordero. 23 La ciudad no tiene necesidad de sol ni de luna que brillen en ella; porque la gloria de Dios la ilumina,(N) y el Cordero es su lumbrera. 24 Y las naciones que hubieren sido salvas andarán a la luz de ella; y los reyes de la tierra traerán su gloria y honor a ella. 25 Sus puertas nunca serán cerradas de día, pues allí no habrá noche. 26 Y llevarán la gloria y la honra de las naciones a ella.(O) 27 No entrará en ella ninguna cosa inmunda,(P) o que hace abominación y mentira, sino solamente los que están inscritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero.

21 Then I saw (A)a new heaven and a new earth; for (B)the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw (C)the holy city, (D)new Jerusalem, (E)coming down out of heaven from God, (F)made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, (G)the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will [a](H)dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among [b]them, 4 and He will (I)wipe away every tear from their eyes; and (J)there will no longer be any death; (K)there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain. (L)The first things passed away.”

5 And (M)He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am (N)making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for (O)these words are faithful and true.” 6 Then He said to me, “(P)They are done. I am the (Q)Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. (R)I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the (S)water of life without cost. 7 (T)He who overcomes will inherit these things, and (U)I will be his God and he will be My son. 8 (V)But for the cowardly and [c]unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in (W)the lake that burns with fire and [d]brimstone, which is the (X)second death.”

9 (Y)Then one of the seven angels who have the (Z)seven bowls [e]full of the (AA)seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “(AB)Come here, I will show you the (AC)bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

New Jerusalem, the Holy City

10 And (AD)he carried me away [f](AE)in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me (AF)the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having (AG)the glory of God. Her [g]brilliance was like precious stone, as a (AH)stone of (AI)crystal-clear jasper. 12 [h]It had a great and high wall. [i]It had (AJ)twelve (AK)gates and at those gates, twelve angels; and names [j]have been written on those gates, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. 14 And the wall of the city had (AL)twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the (AM)twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15 And the one who spoke with me had a [k]gold measuring (AN)rod to measure the city and its (AO)gates and its wall. 16 And the city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the [l]rod, [m]12,000 stadia; its length and width and height are equal. 17 And he measured its wall, [n]144 cubits, according to (AP)human [o]measurements, which are also (AQ)angelic measurements. 18 And the material of the wall was (AR)jasper, and the city was (AS)pure gold, like pure (AT)glass. 19 (AU)The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was (AV)jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, (AW)emerald; 20 the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, (AX)sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21 And the twelve (AY)gates were twelve (AZ)pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was (BA)pure gold, like transparent (BB)glass.

22 And I saw (BC)no sanctuary in it, for the (BD)Lord God the Almighty and the (BE)Lamb are its sanctuary. 23 And the city (BF)has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for (BG)the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the (BH)Lamb. 24 (BI)And the nations will walk by its light, and the (BJ)kings of the earth [p]will bring their glory into it. 25 (BK)And its gates (BL)will never be closed by day, for (BM)there will be no night there; 26 and (BN)they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 And (BO)nothing defiled, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those [q]whose names are (BP)written in the Lamb’s book of life.

21 然后，我看到一个新天堂和新大地。原来的天堂和大地已经消失了，大海也不复存在。 2 我还看到了圣城新耶路撒冷 [a]从上帝的天堂而降。它就像一个穿戴整齐、迎接丈夫的新娘。 3 我听到从宝座中传来一个声音说∶“现在上帝安家在人间了，他要和人住在一起，他们要成为他的子民。上帝要亲自和他们同在，做他们的上帝。 4 他要为他们揩干每一滴泪水，从此将不再有死亡，也没有悲伤、哭泣与痛苦，因为旧的事物已逝。”

5 然后，坐在宝座上的他，说∶“看，我正在把一切都变成新的！”接着又说∶“记下这些，这一切都是可信和真实的。”

6 然后，他对我说∶“结束了！我是阿拉法，我是俄梅戛。我既是开始，也是结束。我要把生命泉中的水无偿地赐给口渴的人。 7 胜利者会继承所有这一切。我要做他的上帝，他要作我的儿子。 8 但是那些懦夫、无信仰者、堕落者、杀人凶手、淫乱者、巫术者、崇拜偶像以及所有的说谎者，都会被扔进滚滚燃烧的硫磺湖中。这是第二次死亡。”

9 接着，手执盛着七种最后灾难的碗的七位天使中的一位走过来，对我说∶“过来，我要让你看看羔羊的新娘。” 10 在圣灵的支配下，他引导我登上一座高山，向我展示圣城，即从上帝那里自天堂而降的耶路撒冷。 11 它带着上帝的荣耀，光芒四射，尤如宝石、水晶。 12 它的城墙高大，有十二个城门。十二位天使各把一门，城门上写着以色列的十二个支派的名字。 13 城的东南西北，各边都有三个门。 14 城墙建在十二块基石上，上面写着羔羊的十二个使徒的名字。

15 对我说话的天使，手执一把金量尺，所以他能够丈量城、城门和城墙。 16 城池四四方方，长宽一致。天使用金尺量城，一万二千视距 [b]。城的长宽高都一样。 17 天使又用人的尺寸衡量城墙，量出其高一百四十四肘 [c]。 18 城墙用碧玉筑成，而城本身是用明亮的玻璃似的纯金建成。 19 城墙的地基用各种名贵宝石装饰着。第一块是碧玉。第二块是蓝宝石。第三块是绿玛瑙。第四块是绿宝石。 20 第五块是红玛瑙。第六块是红宝石。第七块是黄璧玺。第八块是水苍玉。第九块是红璧玺。第十块是翡翠。第十一块是紫玛瑙。 21 第十二块是紫晶。十二个城门是十二颗珍珠，每个城门都是由一颗珍珠建造而成。城中道路都是用纯金铺成，像玻璃一样透亮。

22 我在城里，没有看见一座大殿，因为全能之主上帝和羔羊就是它的大殿。 23 城中不需要太阳或月亮照明，因为上帝的光辉照亮了它，羔羊就是它的明灯。 24 各民族都借着羔羊的光明行走，世上的君王都为此城带来他们的荣耀。 25 城门从不关闭，城中没有黑夜。 26 世上的珍奇财宝都被带到此城。 27 不洁之物进不了此城，无耻之徒和说谎的人也不得入内，只有那些名字载入羔羊生命簿的人，才能进入此城。
