El Cordero y los elegidos
14 Vi al Cordero, que estaba de pie sobre el monte Sión. Con él había ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil personas que tenían escrito en la frente el nombre del Cordero y de su Padre. 2 Luego oí un sonido que venía del cielo; era como el sonido de una cascada, como el retumbar de un fuerte trueno; era un sonido como el de muchos arpistas tocando sus arpas. 3 Y cantaban un canto nuevo delante del trono y delante de los cuatro seres vivientes y de los ancianos. Ninguno podía aprender aquel canto, sino solamente los ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil que fueron salvados de entre los de la tierra. 4 Éstos son vírgenes, no se contaminaron con mujeres; son los que siguen al Cordero por dondequiera que va. Fueron salvados de entre los hombres como primera ofrenda para Dios y para el Cordero. 5 No se encontró ninguna mentira en sus labios, pues son intachables.
El Hijo del hombre y seis ángeles
6 Vi otro ángel, que volaba en medio cielo y que llevaba un mensaje eterno para anunciarlo a los que viven en la tierra, a todas las naciones, razas, lenguas y pueblos. 7 Decía con fuerte voz: «Teman a Dios y denle alabanza, pues ya llegó la hora en que él ha de juzgar. Adoren al que hizo el cielo y la tierra, el mar y los manantiales.»
8 Lo siguió un segundo ángel, que decía: «¡Ya cayó, ya cayó la gran Babilonia, la que emborrachó a todas las naciones con el vino de su prostitución!»
9 Luego los siguió otro ángel, el tercero, que decía con fuerte voz: «Si alguno adora al monstruo y a su imagen, y se deja poner su marca en la frente o en la mano, 10 tendrá que beber el vino de la ira de Dios, que se ha preparado puro en la copa de su enojo; y será atormentado con fuego y azufre delante de los santos ángeles y del Cordero. 11 El humo de su tormento sube por todos los siglos, y no hay descanso de día ni de noche para los que adoran al monstruo y a su imagen y reciben la marca de su nombre.»
12 ¡Aquí se verá la fortaleza del pueblo santo, de aquellos que cumplen sus mandamientos y son fieles a Jesús!
13 Entonces oí una voz del cielo, que me decía: «Escribe esto: “Dichosos de aquí en adelante los que mueren unidos al Señor.”»
«Sí—dice el Espíritu—, ellos descansarán de sus trabajos, pues sus obras los acompañan.»
14 Miré, y vi una nube blanca, y sobre la nube estaba sentado alguien que parecía ser un hijo de hombre. Llevaba una corona de oro en la cabeza y una hoz afilada en la mano. 15 Y salió del templo otro ángel, gritando con fuerte voz al que estaba sentado en la nube: «¡Mete tu hoz y recoge la cosecha; porque ya llegó la hora, y la cosecha de la tierra está madura!» 16 El que estaba sentado en la nube pasó entonces su hoz sobre la tierra, y recogió la cosecha de la tierra.
17 Luego otro ángel salió del templo que está en el cielo, llevando él también una hoz afilada. 18 Y del altar salió otro ángel, que tenía autoridad sobre el fuego y que llamó con fuerte voz al que llevaba la hoz afilada, diciendo: «¡Mete tu hoz afilada, y corta con ella los racimos de los viñedos que hay en la tierra, porque ya sus uvas están maduras!» 19 El ángel pasó su hoz sobre la tierra y cortó las uvas de los viñedos de la tierra, y luego las echó en el gran recipiente que se usa para exprimirlas y que simboliza la ira de Dios. 20 Las uvas fueron exprimidas fuera de la ciudad, y del recipiente salió sangre, que llegó a la altura de los frenos de los caballos en una extensión de trescientos kilómetros.

Una canción nueva
14 Entonces miré, y vi al Cordero[a] de pie en el monte Sión.[b] Junto a él estaban ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil seguidores suyos, que tenían escritos en la frente los nombres del Cordero y del Padre. 2 Después oí una voz que venía del cielo. Era como el estruendo de enormes cataratas, o como el fuerte resonar del trueno; era un sonido semejante al de muchos músicos tocando arpas.[c] 3 Los ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil estaban de pie delante del trono, y delante de los cuatro seres vivientes y de los veinticuatro ancianos, y cantaban una canción que nunca antes se había escuchado. Nadie podía aprenderse la letra de aquella canción, a no ser los que fueron salvados de entre la gente de este mundo, 4 los cuales no adoraron a dioses falsos ni fueron infieles a Dios. Todos ellos seguían al Cordero por dondequiera que él iba, y habían sido salvados para ser el primer regalo que se ofreciera a Dios y al Cordero, 5 pues nunca mintieron ni hicieron lo malo.
El mensaje de los tres ángeles
6 Vi entonces a otro ángel, que volaba en lo alto del cielo. Llevaba buenas noticias de valor eterno, para la gente de todos los países, razas, idiomas y pueblos. 7 Decía con fuerte voz:
«Honren a Dios y alábenlo;
ha llegado el momento
en que él juzgará al mundo.
Adoren al creador
del cielo y de la tierra,
del mar y de los manantiales.»
8 Lo seguía otro ángel que decía:
«¡Ya cayó la gran Babilonia![d]
Ya ha sido destruida la ciudad
que enseñó a todos los países
a pecar y a obedecer a dioses falsos.»
9 Luego los siguió un tercer ángel, que decía con fuerte voz:
«Si alguno adora al monstruo o a su estatua, o deja que le pongan su marca en la frente o en la mano, 10 Dios se enojará mucho y lo castigará duramente. No será un castigo suave, sino que lo hará sufrir con fuego y azufre ardiente, y los santos ángeles y el Cordero[e] lo verán sufrir su castigo. 11 El humo del fuego que lo hará sufrir nunca dejará de subir, pues los que adoran al monstruo y a su estatua, y tienen la marca de su nombre, nunca dejarán de sufrir, ni de día ni de noche.»
12 El pueblo de Dios debe aprender a soportar con fortaleza las dificultades y los sufrimientos. También debe obedecer los mandatos de Dios y seguir confiando en Jesús.
13 Entonces oí una voz del cielo, que me decía: «Escribe esto: “¡Dios bendecirá a los que de ahora en adelante mueran unidos al Señor Jesucristo!”»
Y el Espíritu de Dios dice: «Así es, porque ellos descansarán de todos sus sufrimientos y dificultades, pues Dios los premiará por todo el bien que han hecho.»
El juicio final
14 Luego vi una nube blanca, sobre la que estaba sentado alguien que parecía un hijo de hombre.[f] Tenía una corona de oro en la cabeza, y en la mano llevaba una hoz afilada. 15 Y otro ángel salió del templo, y gritó con fuerte voz al que estaba sentado en la nube: «¡Empieza a cortar con tu hoz, y recoge la cosecha![g] y ha llegado la hora de recogerla.»
16 El que estaba sentado en la nube pasó la hoz sobre la tierra, y recogió la cosecha.
17 Entonces salió del templo otro ángel, que también llevaba una hoz afilada. 18 Y del altar salió el ángel que tiene poder sobre el fuego, y le dijo al ángel que llevaba la hoz afilada: «¡Empieza a cortar con tu hoz! ¡Recoge las uvas del viñedo de la tierra, porque las uvas ya están maduras!»
19 El ángel pasó la hoz sobre la tierra, y cortó las uvas de los viñedos. Luego las echó en el recipiente grande que se usa para exprimirlas, y que representa el enojo de Dios. 20 Las uvas fueron exprimidas fuera de la ciudad, y del recipiente salió tanta sangre que subió hasta un metro y medio de altura, en una extensión de trescientos kilómetros.

The Lamb and the 144,000
14 Then I saw the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him were 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of mighty ocean waves or the rolling of loud thunder. It was like the sound of many harpists playing together.
3 This great choir sang a wonderful new song in front of the throne of God and before the four living beings and the twenty-four elders. No one could learn this song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 They have kept themselves as pure as virgins,[a] following the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been purchased from among the people on the earth as a special offering[b] to God and to the Lamb. 5 They have told no lies; they are without blame.
The Three Angels
6 And I saw another angel flying through the sky, carrying the eternal Good News to proclaim to the people who belong to this world—to every nation, tribe, language, and people. 7 “Fear God,” he shouted. “Give glory to him. For the time has come when he will sit as judge. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all the springs of water.”
8 Then another angel followed him through the sky, shouting, “Babylon is fallen—that great city is fallen—because she made all the nations of the world drink the wine of her passionate immorality.”
9 Then a third angel followed them, shouting, “Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or who accepts his mark on the forehead or on the hand 10 must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been poured full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. 11 The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night, for they have worshiped the beast and his statue and have accepted the mark of his name.”
12 This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them!”
The Harvest of the Earth
14 Then I saw a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was someone like the Son of Man.[c] He had a gold crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.
15 Then another angel came from the Temple and shouted to the one sitting on the cloud, “Swing the sickle, for the time of harvest has come; the crop on earth is ripe.” 16 So the one sitting on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the whole earth was harvested.
17 After that, another angel came from the Temple in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. 18 Then another angel, who had power to destroy with fire, came from the altar. He shouted to the angel with the sharp sickle, “Swing your sickle now to gather the clusters of grapes from the vines of the earth, for they are ripe for judgment.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and loaded the grapes into the great winepress of God’s wrath. 20 The grapes were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress in a stream about 180 miles[d] long and as high as a horse’s bridle.

14 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb,(A) standing on Mount Zion,(B) and with him 144,000(C) who had his name and his Father’s name(D) written on their foreheads.(E) 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters(F) and like a loud peal of thunder.(G) The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.(H) 3 And they sang a new song(I) before the throne and before the four living creatures(J) and the elders.(K) No one could learn the song except the 144,000(L) who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins.(M) They follow the Lamb wherever he goes.(N) They were purchased from among mankind(O) and offered as firstfruits(P) to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths;(Q) they are blameless.(R)
The Three Angels
6 Then I saw another angel flying in midair,(S) and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth(T)—to every nation, tribe, language and people.(U) 7 He said in a loud voice, “Fear God(V) and give him glory,(W) because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made(X) the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”(Y)
8 A second angel followed and said, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’[a](Z) which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.”(AA)
9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast(AB) and its image(AC) and receives its mark on their forehead(AD) or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury,(AE) which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath.(AF) They will be tormented with burning sulfur(AG) in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever.(AH) There will be no rest day or night(AI) for those who worship the beast and its image,(AJ) or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”(AK) 12 This calls for patient endurance(AL) on the part of the people of God(AM) who keep his commands(AN) and remain faithful to Jesus.
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord(AO) from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit,(AP) “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
Harvesting the Earth and Trampling the Winepress
14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud,(AQ) and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man[b](AR) with a crown(AS) of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple(AT) and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle(AU) and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest(AV) of the earth is ripe.” 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
17 Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.(AW) 18 Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar(AX) and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle(AY) and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine, because its grapes are ripe.” 19 The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath.(AZ) 20 They were trampled in the winepress(BA) outside the city,(BB) and blood(BC) flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.[c]

8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
