La bestia que sube del mar
13 El dragón se paró[a] sobre la arena del mar[b].
Y vi que subía del mar una bestia(A) que tenía diez cuernos(B) y siete cabezas(C); en sus cuernos había diez diademas[c](D), y en sus cabezas había nombres blasfemos(E). 2 La bestia que vi era semejante a un leopardo(F), sus pies eran como los de un oso(G) y su boca como la boca de un león(H). Y el dragón(I) le dio su poder, su trono(J) y gran autoridad. 3 Y vi una de sus cabezas como herida de muerte, pero su herida mortal(K) fue sanada. Y la tierra entera se maravilló(L) y seguía tras la bestia; 4 y adoraron al dragón, porque había dado autoridad(M) a la bestia; y adoraron a la bestia, diciendo: ¿Quién es semejante a la bestia(N), y quién puede luchar contra ella? 5 Se le dio una boca que hablaba palabras arrogantes[d](O) y blasfemias, y se le dio autoridad para actuar[e] durante cuarenta y dos meses(P). 6 Y abrió su boca en blasfemias contra Dios, para blasfemar su nombre y su tabernáculo, es decir, contra los que moran en el cielo(Q). 7 Se le concedió hacer guerra contra los santos(R) y vencerlos; y se le dio autoridad sobre toda tribu, pueblo, lengua y nación(S). 8 Y la adorarán todos los que moran en la tierra(T), cuyos nombres no han sido escritos(U), desde la fundación del mundo(V), en el libro de la vida del Cordero que fue inmolado[f](W). 9 Si alguno tiene oído, que oiga(X). 10 Si alguno es destinado a la cautividad, a la cautividad va(Y); si alguno ha de morir a espada(Z), a espada ha de morir. Aquí está la perseverancia(AA) y la fe de los santos.
La bestia que sube de la tierra
11 Y vi otra bestia(AB) que subía de la tierra; tenía dos cuernos semejantes a los de un cordero(AC) y hablaba como un dragón(AD). 12 Ejerce toda la autoridad de la primera bestia(AE) en su presencia[g](AF), y hace que la tierra y los que moran en ella(AG) adoren a la primera bestia(AH), cuya herida mortal fue sanada(AI). 13 También hace grandes señales(AJ), de tal manera que aun hace descender fuego del cielo(AK) a la tierra en presencia de los hombres. 14 Además engaña(AL) a los que moran en la tierra(AM) a causa de las señales que se le concedió hacer(AN) en presencia de[h] la bestia(AO), diciendo a los moradores de la tierra que hagan una imagen de la bestia que tenía* la herida de la espada(AP) y que ha vuelto a vivir. 15 Se le concedió dar aliento a la imagen de la bestia, para que la imagen de la bestia también hablara e hiciera[i] dar muerte a todos(AQ) los que no adoran la imagen(AR) de la bestia. 16 Y hace que a todos, pequeños y grandes, ricos y pobres, libres y esclavos(AS), se les dé[j] una marca(AT) en la mano derecha o en la frente, 17 y que nadie pueda comprar ni vender, sino el que tenga la marca(AU): el nombre de la bestia(AV) o el número de su nombre(AW). 18 Aquí hay sabiduría(AX). El que tiene entendimiento, que calcule el número de la bestia, porque el número es el de un hombre(AY), y su número es seiscientos sesenta y seis[k].

Zvijer iz mora
13 I stane na morski žal. Ugledam kako iz mora izlazi Zvijer s deset rogova i sedam glava. Na rogovima je imala deset kruna, a na glavama bogohulna imena.
2 Sličila je leopardu, ali su joj noge bile kao medvjeđe, a usta poput lavljih. Zmaj joj dade svoju silu, svoje prijestolje i veliku vlast.
3 Opazio sam da joj je jedna glava kao nasmrt ranjena - ali smrtna joj rana zacijeli. Sav svijet, začuđen, zadivljeno počne slijediti Zvijer
4 i svi se poklone Zmaju koji joj je dao takvu vlast. Poklone se i Zvijeri. 'Tko je kao Zvijer?' govorili su. 'Tko može ratovati s njom?'
5 Zvijeri je bilo dopušteno govoriti drskosti i hule protiv Boga i vlast da djeluje četrdeset dva mjeseca.
6 Hulila je na Boga, na njegovo ime, na mjesto njegova prebivališta i na sve one što žive u nebu.
7 Dopušteno joj je zaratiti protiv svetih i pobijediti ih. Dobila je vlast nad svakim plemenom i pukom, svakim jezikom i narodom.
8 Poklonili su joj se svi koji pripadaju ovomu svijetu, kojih imena nisu zapisana u Knjizi života što pripada zaklanomu Jaganjcu od postanka svijeta.
9 Slušajte, kad već imate uši!
10 Kojima je određeno da odu u ropstvo, otići će u ropstvo. Kojima je određeno da poginu od mača, poginut će od mača. U tomu je postojanost i vjera svetih.
Zvijer iz zemlje
11 Ugledam tada još jednu zvijer kako izlazi iz zemlje. Ima dva roga poput jaganjca, a govori kao Zmaj.
12 Vrši svu vlast prve Zvijeri u njezinoj nazočnosti. Primorava sve stanovnike Zemlje da se klanjaju prvoj Zvijeri, kojoj je zacijelila smrtna rana.
13 Činila je veliko znamenje: da oganj sune s neba na zemlju naočigled svih ljudi.
14 Zavodila je tako stanovnike Zemlje čudesima koje joj je bilo dopušteno činiti u nazočnosti prve Zvijeri. Rekla im je da načine kip Zvijeri koja je bila smrtno ranjena, ali je preživjela.
15 Dopušteno joj je udahnuti život kipu Zvijeri tako da progovori. Kip progovori i zapovjedi da se smaknu svi koji mu se ne klanjaju.
16 Druga zvijer učinila je da svi - veliki i mali, bogati i siromašni, robovi i slobodni ljudi - daju sebi udariti žig na desnu ruku ili na čelo.
17 Nitko nije mogao ništa prodati ni kupiti ako nije imao žig s imenom Zvijeri ili s brojem njezina imena.
18 Tko je mudar, neka odgonetne broj Zvijeri. To je broj čovjeka: 666.

13 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
