As Sete Taças da Ira de Deus
16 Então ouvi uma forte voz que vinha do santuário e dizia aos sete anjos: “Vão derramar sobre a terra as sete taças da ira de Deus”.
2 O primeiro anjo foi e derramou a sua taça pela terra, e abriram-se feridas malignas e dolorosas naqueles que tinham a marca da besta e adoravam a sua imagem.
3 O segundo anjo derramou a sua taça no mar, e este se transformou em sangue como de um morto, e morreu toda criatura que vivia no mar.
4 O terceiro anjo derramou a sua taça nos rios e nas fontes, e eles se transformaram em sangue. 5 Então ouvi o anjo que tem autoridade sobre as águas dizer:
“Tu és justo,
tu, o Santo, que és e que eras,
porque julgaste estas coisas;
6 pois eles derramaram
o sangue dos teus santos
e dos teus profetas,
e tu lhes deste sangue
para beber,
como eles merecem”.
7 E ouvi o altar responder:
“Sim, Senhor Deus todo-poderoso,
verdadeiros e justos
são os teus juízos”.
8 O quarto anjo derramou a sua taça no sol, e foi dado poder ao sol para queimar os homens com fogo. 9 Estes foram queimados pelo forte calor e amaldiçoaram o nome de Deus, que tem domínio sobre estas pragas; contudo, recusaram arrepender-se e glorificá-lo.
10 O quinto anjo derramou a sua taça sobre o trono da besta, cujo reino ficou em trevas. De tanta agonia, os homens mordiam a própria língua, 11 e blasfemavam contra o Deus dos céus, por causa das suas dores e das suas feridas; contudo, recusaram arrepender-se das obras que haviam praticado.
12 O sexto anjo derramou a sua taça sobre o grande rio Eufrates, e secaram-se as suas águas para que fosse preparado o caminho para os reis que vêm do Oriente. 13 Então vi saírem da boca do dragão, da boca da besta e da boca do falso profeta três espíritos imundos[a] semelhantes a rãs. 14 São espíritos de demônios que realizam sinais miraculosos; eles vão aos reis de todo o mundo, a fim de reuni-los para a batalha do grande dia do Deus todo-poderoso.
15 “Eis que venho como ladrão! Feliz aquele que permanece vigilante e conserva consigo as suas vestes, para que não ande nu e não seja vista a sua vergonha.”
16 Então os três espíritos os reuniram no lugar que, em hebraico, é chamado Armagedom.
17 O sétimo anjo derramou a sua taça no ar, e do santuário saiu uma forte voz que vinha do trono, dizendo: “Está feito!” 18 Houve, então, relâmpagos, vozes, trovões e um forte terremoto. Nunca havia ocorrido um terremoto tão forte como esse desde que o homem existe sobre a terra. 19 A grande cidade foi dividida em três partes, e as cidades das nações se desmoronaram. Deus lembrou-se da grande Babilônia e lhe deu o cálice do vinho do furor da sua ira. 20 Todas as ilhas fugiram, e as montanhas desapareceram. 21 Caíram sobre os homens, vindas do céu, enormes pedras de granizo, de cerca de trinta e cinco quilos[b] cada; eles blasfemaram contra Deus por causa do granizo, pois a praga fora terrível.

16 Jeg hørte en kraftig stemme fra Det aller helligste i templet si til de sju englene: ”Gå og tøm de sju skålene med Guds sinne ut over jorden.”
2 Da gikk den første engelen bort og tømte skålen sin over jorden. Fryktelige og plagsomme byller slo ut på dem som bar udyrets[a] merke og tilba bildet av udyret.
3 Den andre engelen tømte skålen sin over havet. Vannet ble som blodet fra et dødt menneske, og alt som levde i sjøen, døde.
4 Den tredje engelen tømte skålen sin over elvene og vannkildene. De ble også forandret til blod.
5 Så hørte jeg at engelen som hadde makten over vannet sa:
”Rettferdig er du som er til og alltid har vært,
du Hellige som har felt denne dommen.
6 Innbyggerne på jorden har drept profetene som bar fram budskapet ditt,
og de menneskene som tilhører deg.
De har latt blodet deres renne på jorden.
Derfor har du gitt dem blod å drikke.
Dette er straffen de har fortjent.”
7 Jeg hørte en stemme fra alteret i templet si:
”Ja, Herre Gud, du som har all makt,
dine dommer er sanne og rettferdige.”
8 Den fjerde engelen tømte skålen sin over solen. Solen fikk tillatelse til å svi menneskene med sin ild. 9 Da menneskene ble brent av den voldsomme heten fra solen, forbannet de Gud som hadde makt til å sende slike plager. Ingen angret synden sin, vendte om til Gud og ga ham æren.
10 Så tømte den femte engelen skålen sin over udyrets maktsentrum. Da ble hans rike dekket av mørke. Menneskene bet tungene sine i biter av smerte. 11 De forbannet Gud i himmelen for sine plager og byller, men de angret ikke sine onde handlinger og vendte om til Gud.
12 Den sjette engelen tømte skålen sin over den store elven Eufrat. Den tørket ut, slik at veien lå åpen for makthaverne fra Østen. 13 Jeg så tre onde ånder som så ut som padder. De kom fram fra draken sin munn, av udyret sin munn og av den falske profeten sin[b] munn. 14 Disse demoniske åndene som kan utføre mirakler, gikk ut til alle verdens makthavere og overtalte dem til å samle seg til kamp mot Herren Jesus på den store dagen, da Gud, som har all makt, skal dømme verden.
15 ”Lytt”, sier Jesus: ”Jeg kommer uventet som en tyv om natten! Lykkelig er den som holder seg våken og har klærne sine parat, slik at han ikke behøver gå naken og skamfull når de han møter, ser ham.”[c]
16 De onde åndene samlet alle verdens makthavere på det stedet som på hebraisk blir kalt Harmageddon[d].
17 Til slutt tømte den sjuende engelen skålen sin over luften. Da hørte jeg en kraftig stemme fra tronen i Det aller helligste i templet, og den sa: ”Det er skjedd!” 18 Det lynte, drønnet av torden og ble et stort jordskjelv som var så kraftig at ingen noen gang sett noe tilsvarende. 19 Den store byen ble kløvd i tre deler. Mange byer rundt om i verden styrtet sammen. Gud glemte ikke den store byen Babylon og syndene som florerte, og lot byen tømme begeret med hans glødende vredes vin. 20 Alle øyene forsvant, og fjellene var borte. 21 Det falt enorme hagl på omkring 40 kilo fra himmelen ned over jorden. Menneskene forbannet Gud for haglene, etter som katastrofen var en så fryktelig pine.

16 Entonces oí desde el templo una gran voz que decía a los siete ángeles: «Id y derramad sobre la tierra las siete copas de la ira de Dios.»
2 Fue el primero y derramó su copa sobre la tierra, y vino una úlcera maligna y pestilente sobre los hombres que tenían la marca de la bestia y que adoraban su imagen.
3 El segundo ángel derramó su copa sobre el mar, y éste se convirtió en sangre como de muerto, y murió todo ser viviente que había en el mar.
4 El tercer ángel derramó su copa sobre los ríos y sobre las fuentes de las aguas, y se convirtieron en sangre. 5 Y oí que el ángel de las aguas decía:
«Justo eres tú, Señor,
el que eres y que eras, el Santo,
porque has juzgado estas cosas.
6 Por cuanto derramaron la sangre
de los santos y de los profetas,
también tú les has dado a beber sangre,
pues se lo merecen.»
7 También oí a otro, que desde el altar decía: «¡Ciertamente, Señor Dios Todopoderoso, tus juicios son verdaderos y justos!»
8 El cuarto ángel derramó su copa sobre el sol, al cual le fue permitido quemar a los hombres con fuego. 9 Los hombres fueron quemados con el gran calor y blasfemaron el nombre de Dios, que tiene poder sobre estas plagas, y no se arrepintieron para darle gloria.
10 El quinto ángel derramó su copa sobre el trono de la bestia, y su reino se cubrió de tinieblas. La gente se mordía la lengua por causa del dolor 11 y blasfemaron contra el Dios del cielo por sus dolores y por sus úlceras, y no se arrepintieron de sus obras.
12 El sexto ángel derramó su copa sobre el gran río Éufrates, y el agua de éste se secó para preparar el camino a los reyes del oriente.
13 Vi salir de la boca del dragón, de la boca de la bestia y de la boca del falso profeta, tres espíritus inmundos semejantes a ranas. 14 Son espíritus de demonios, que hacen señales y van a los reyes de la tierra en todo el mundo para reunirlos para la batalla de aquel gran día del Dios Todopoderoso.
15 «Yo vengo como ladrón. Bienaventurado el que vela y guarda sus vestiduras, no sea que ande desnudo y vean su vergüenza.»
16 Y los reunió en el lugar que en hebreo se llama Armagedón.
17 El séptimo ángel derramó su copa por el aire. Y salió una gran voz del santuario del cielo, desde el trono, que decía: «¡Ya está hecho!» 18 Entonces hubo relámpagos, voces, truenos y un gran temblor de tierra, un terremoto tan grande cual no lo hubo jamás desde que los hombres existen sobre la tierra. 19 La gran ciudad se dividió en tres partes y las ciudades de las naciones cayeron. La gran Babilonia vino en memoria delante de Dios, para darle el cáliz del vino del ardor de su ira. 20 Toda isla huyó y los montes ya no fueron hallados. 21 Del cielo cayó sobre los hombres un enorme granizo, como del peso de un talento. Y los hombres blasfemaron contra Dios por la plaga del granizo, porque su plaga fue sumamente grande.

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath
16 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple(A) saying to the seven angels,(B) “Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”(C)
2 The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land,(D) and ugly, festering sores(E) broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.(F)
3 The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.(G)
4 The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water,(H) and they became blood.(I) 5 Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say:
“You are just in these judgments,(J) O Holy One,(K)
you who are and who were;(L)
6 for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets,(M)
and you have given them blood to drink(N) as they deserve.”
7 And I heard the altar(O) respond:
8 The fourth angel(R) poured out his bowl on the sun,(S) and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire.(T) 9 They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God,(U) who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent(V) and glorify him.(W)
10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast,(X) and its kingdom was plunged into darkness.(Y) People gnawed their tongues in agony 11 and cursed(Z) the God of heaven(AA) because of their pains and their sores,(AB) but they refused to repent of what they had done.(AC)
12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates,(AD) and its water was dried up to prepare the way(AE) for the kings from the East.(AF) 13 Then I saw three impure spirits(AG) that looked like frogs;(AH) they came out of the mouth of the dragon,(AI) out of the mouth of the beast(AJ) and out of the mouth of the false prophet.(AK) 14 They are demonic spirits(AL) that perform signs,(AM) and they go out to the kings of the whole world,(AN) to gather them for the battle(AO) on the great day(AP) of God Almighty.
15 “Look, I come like a thief!(AQ) Blessed is the one who stays awake(AR) and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”(AS)
16 Then they gathered the kings together(AT) to the place that in Hebrew(AU) is called Armageddon.(AV)
17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air,(AW) and out of the temple(AX) came a loud voice(AY) from the throne, saying, “It is done!”(AZ) 18 Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder(BA) and a severe earthquake.(BB) No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth,(BC) so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city(BD) split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered(BE) Babylon the Great(BF) and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.(BG) 20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.(BH) 21 From the sky huge hailstones,(BI) each weighing about a hundred pounds,[a] fell on people. And they cursed God(BJ) on account of the plague of hail,(BK) because the plague was so terrible.

2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
