8 Când a rupt(A) Mielul pecetea a şaptea, s-a făcut în cer o tăcere de aproape o jumătate de ceas. 2 Şi(B) am văzut pe cei şapte îngeri care stau înaintea lui Dumnezeu; şi(C) li s-au dat şapte trâmbiţe. 3 Apoi a venit un alt înger, care s-a oprit în faţa altarului, cu o cădelniţă de aur. I s-a dat tămâie multă, ca s-o aducă, împreună cu rugăciunile(D) tuturor sfinţilor, pe altarul(E) de aur, care este înaintea scaunului de domnie. 4 Fumul(F) de tămâie s-a ridicat din mâna îngerului înaintea lui Dumnezeu, împreună cu rugăciunile sfinţilor. 5 Apoi, îngerul a luat cădelniţa, a umplut-o din focul de pe altar şi l-a aruncat pe pământ. Şi s-au(G) stârnit tunete, glasuri, fulgere şi un cutremur(H) de pământ. 6 Şi cei şapte îngeri, care aveau cele şapte trâmbiţe, s-au pregătit să sune din ele. 7 Îngerul dintâi a sunat din trâmbiţă. Şi(I) au venit grindină şi foc amestecat cu sânge, care au fost aruncate pe(J) pământ: şi a treia parte a pământului a fost ars, şi a treia parte din(K) copaci au fost arşi, şi toată iarba verde a fost arsă. 8 Al doilea înger a sunat din trâmbiţă. Şi(L) ceva ca un munte mare de foc aprins a fost aruncat în mare; şi(M) a treia parte din mare s-a(N) făcut sânge; 9 şi(O) a treia parte din făpturile care erau în mare şi aveau viaţă au murit; şi a treia parte din corăbii au pierit. 10 Al treilea înger a sunat din trâmbiţă. Şi(P) a căzut din cer o stea mare, care ardea ca o făclie; a(Q) căzut peste a treia parte din râuri şi peste izvoarele apelor. 11 Steaua(R) se chema „Pelin” şi(S) a treia parte din ape s-au prefăcut în pelin. Şi mulţi oameni au murit din pricina apelor, pentru că fuseseră făcute amare. 12 Al(T) patrulea înger a sunat din trâmbiţă. Şi a fost lovită a treia parte din soare, şi a treia parte din lună, şi a treia parte din stele, pentru ca a treia parte din ele să fie întunecată, ziua să-şi piardă a treia parte din lumina ei şi noaptea, de asemenea. 13 M-am uitat şi am(U) auzit un vultur care zbura prin mijlocul cerului şi zicea cu glas tare: „Vai(V), vai, vai de locuitorii pământului din pricina celorlalte sunete de trâmbiţă ale celor trei îngeri care au să mai sune!”

8 Când Mielul a rupt al şaptelea sigiliu, în cer s-a făcut linişte aproape o jumătate de oră. 2 Şi i-am văzut pe cei şapte îngeri care stau înaintea lui Dumnezeu; acestora li s-au dat şapte trâmbiţe.
3 Un alt înger, care avea o cădelniţă de aur, a venit şi a stat înaintea altarului. I-a fost dată multă tămâie, pentru a o aduce împreună cu rugăciunile tuturor sfinţilor pe altarul de aur care este înaintea tronului. 4 Fumul de tămâie, împreună cu rugăciunile sfinţilor, s-a ridicat din mâna îngerului înaintea lui Dumnezeu. 5 Îngerul a luat cădelniţa, a umplut-o cu foc de pe altar şi a aruncat focul pe pământ; şi au avut loc tunete, sunete[a], fulgere şi un cutremur.
Cele şapte trâmbiţe
6 Cei şapte îngeri care aveau cele şapte trâmbiţe erau pregătiţi să sune.
7 Primul a sunat din trâmbiţă. Şi a venit grindină şi foc amestecat cu sânge, care au fost aruncate pe pământ. A treia parte a pământului a fost arsă, a treia parte a copacilor a fost arsă şi toată iarba verde a fost arsă.
8 Al doilea înger a sunat din trâmbiţă. Şi ceva ca un munte mare de foc aprins a fost aruncat în mare. A treia parte din mare s-a transformat în sânge, 9 a treia parte din făpturile care erau în mare şi care aveau viaţă au murit, şi a treia parte din corăbii au fost distruse.
10 Al treilea înger a sunat din trâmbiţă. Şi din cer a căzut o stea mare, aprinsă ca o făclie; a căzut peste a treia parte din râuri şi peste izvoarele de apă. 11 Numele stelei era: „Pelin“[b]. A treia parte din ape s-au transformat în pelin şi mulţi oameni au murit din cauza apelor, pentru că fuseseră făcute amare.
12 Al patrulea înger a sunat din trâmbiţă. Şi au fost lovite a treia parte din soare, a treia parte din lună şi a treia parte din stele, pentru ca a treia parte din ele să fie întunecată şi astfel a treia parte din zi şi din noapte să nu mai aibă lumină.
13 M-am uitat şi am auzit un vultur care zbura în înaltul cerului, spunând cu glas puternic: „Vai, vai, vai de locuitorii pământului, din cauza celorlalte sunete de trâmbiţă, ale celorlalţi trei îngeri care urmează să sune!“

2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

8 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
3 Another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer. Much incense was given to him, that he should add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand. 5 The angel took the censer, and he filled it with the fire of the altar, then threw it on the earth. Thunders, sounds, lightnings, and an earthquake followed.
6 The seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7 The first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. One third of the earth was burned up,[a] and one third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.
8 The second angel sounded, and something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea. One third of the sea became blood, 9 and one third of the living creatures which were in the sea died. One third of the ships were destroyed.
10 The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from the sky, burning like a torch, and it fell on one third of the rivers, and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is “Wormwood.” One third of the waters became wormwood. Many people died from the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars, so that one third of them would be darkened; and the day wouldn’t shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way. 13 I saw, and I heard an eagle,[b] flying in mid heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the other blasts of the trumpets of the three angels, who are yet to sound!”
