16 În(A) mâna dreaptă ţinea şapte stele. Din(B) gura Lui ieşea o sabie ascuţită cu două tăişuri şi(C) faţa Lui era ca soarele când străluceşte în toată puterea lui. 17 Când L-am văzut(D), am căzut la picioarele Lui ca mort. El Şi-a pus(E) mâna dreaptă peste mine şi a zis: „Nu te teme! Eu(F) sunt Cel dintâi şi Cel de pe urmă, 18 Cel(G) viu. Am fost mort, şi iată că sunt viu(H) în vecii vecilor. Eu ţin(I) cheile morţii şi ale Locuinţei morţilor.

New International Version
16 In his right hand he held seven stars,(A) and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword.(B) His face was like the sun(C) shining in all its brilliance.
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet(D) as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me(E) and said: “Do not be afraid.(F) I am the First and the Last.(G) 18 I am the Living One; I was dead,(H) and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!(I) And I hold the keys of death and Hades.(J)
