5 saying, When the month is over, we will sell the wheat; and after the sabbath day we will open the storehouse of bread, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit;
6 that we may buy the poor for money and the needy for a pair of shoes and sell the refuse of the wheat.
7 The LORD has sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

5 saying,
“When will the New Moon(A) be over
    that we may sell grain,
and the Sabbath be ended
    that we may market(B) wheat?”(C)—
skimping on the measure,
    boosting the price
    and cheating(D) with dishonest scales,(E)
6 buying the poor(F) with silver
    and the needy for a pair of sandals,
    selling even the sweepings with the wheat.(G)
7 The Lord has sworn by himself, the Pride of Jacob:(H) “I will never forget(I) anything they have done.(J)
