⁷ What then? ^(A)Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were ^(B)blinded. ⁸ Just as it is written:

⁹ And David says:

⁶ For ^(A)of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, ⁷ always learning and never able ^(B)to come to the knowledge of the truth.

^23 (A)“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. ²⁴ For ^(B)false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, ^(C)if possible, even the elect. ²⁵ See, I have told you beforehand.

²⁶ “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.

³⁰ He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

⁴ “But you, Daniel, ^(A)shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall ^(B)run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

³¹ but Israel, ^(A)pursuing the law of righteousness, ^(B)has not attained to the law ^[a]of righteousness. ³² Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, ^[b]by the works of the law. For ^(C)they stumbled at that stumbling stone. ³³ As it is written:

^25 (B)At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that ^(C)You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent ^(D)and have revealed them to babes. ²⁶ Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. ^27 (E)All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. ^(F)Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
