7 Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.
8 The Lord God hath sworn by himself, saith the Lord the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
9 And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

And the revelry of those who (B)lounge around will come to an end.
8 The Lord [a]God has (C)sworn by Himself, the Lord God of armies has declared:
“I (D)loathe the arrogance of Jacob,
And [b]detest his (E)citadels;
Therefore I will (F)give up the city and [c]all it contains.”
9 And it will be, if (G)ten men are left in one house, they will die.

8 The Sovereign Lord has sworn by himself(C)—the Lord God Almighty declares:

and detest his fortresses;(F)
I will deliver up(G) the city
and everything in it.(H)”
9 If ten(I) people are left in one house, they too will die.
