Amos 6:10-12
New King James Version
10 And when [a]a relative of the dead, with one who will burn the bodies, picks up the [b]bodies to take them out of the house, he will say to one inside the house, “Are there any more with you?”
Then someone will say, “None.”
And he will say, (A)“Hold your tongue! (B)For we dare not mention the name of the Lord.”
11 For behold, (C)the Lord gives a command:
(D)He will break the great house into bits,
And the little house into pieces.
12 Do horses run on rocks?
Does one plow there with oxen?
Yet (E)you have turned justice into gall,
And the fruit of righteousness into wormwood,
Amos 6:10-12
New American Standard Bible
10 Then one’s [a]uncle, or his (A)undertaker, will lift him up to carry out his bones from the house, and he will say to the one who is in the innermost part of the house, “Is anyone else with you?” And that one will say, “No one.” Then he will [b]answer, “(B)Keep quiet! For [c]the name of the Lord is (C)not to be mentioned.” 11 For behold, the Lord is going to (D)command that the (E)great house be smashed to pieces, and the small house to rubble.
12 Do horses run on rocks?
Or does one [d]plow them with oxen?
Yet you have turned (F)justice into poison,
And the fruit of righteousness into [e]wormwood,
