¹⁵ Though you play the whore, O ^(A)Israel,
    let not ^(B)Judah become guilty.
^(C)Enter not into ^(D)Gilgal,
    nor go up to ^(E)Beth-aven,
    and swear not, “As the Lord lives.”

^4 (A)“Come to Bethel, and transgress;
    to ^(B)Gilgal, and multiply transgression;
^(C)bring your ^(D)sacrifices every morning,
    your tithes every three days;

“‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city,
    and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword,
    and your land ^(B)shall be divided up with a measuring line;
you yourself shall die in an unclean land,
    and ^(C)Israel shall surely go into exile away from its land.’”
