²⁷ And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, “Though the number of the children of Israel were like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved,^(A)

¹⁶ But I will let a few of them escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence, so that they may tell of all their abominations among the nations where they go; then they shall know that I am the Lord.^(A)

²² For though your people, O Israel, were like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, an overwhelming verdict.^(A)

⁶² Although once you were as numerous as the stars in heaven, you shall be left few in number because you did not obey the Lord your God.^(A)

²⁷ The Lord will scatter you among the peoples; only a few of you will be left among the nations where the Lord will lead you.^(A)

⁹ If ten people remain in one house, they shall die.
