2 Ang Israel na katulad ng isang babaeng birhen ay nabuwal at hindi na muling makabangon.
Pinabayaan siyang nakahandusay sa sarili niyang lupain at walang tumutulong para ibangon siya.
3 Ito ang sinabi ng Panginoong Dios, “Sa 1,000 sundalo na ipapadala ng isang lungsod sa Israel, 100 na lang ang matitira. At sa 100 sundalo na kanyang ipapadala, 10 na lang ang matitira. 4 Kaya kayong mga Israelita, dumulog kayo sa akin at mabubuhay kayo.

2 “Fallen is Virgin(A) Israel,
never to rise again,
deserted in her own land,
with no one to lift her up.(B)”
3 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to Israel:
“Your city that marches out a thousand strong
will have only a hundred left;
your town that marches out a hundred strong
will have only ten left.(C)”
4 This is what the Lord says to Israel:
