Amos 4:4-13
New King James Version
4 “Come(A) to Bethel and transgress,
At (B)Gilgal multiply transgression;
(C)Bring your sacrifices every morning,
(D)Your tithes every three [a]days.
5 (E)Offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven,
Proclaim and announce (F)the freewill offerings;
For this you love,
You children of Israel!”
Says the Lord God.
Israel Did Not Accept Correction
6 “Also I gave you [b]cleanness of teeth in all your cities,
And lack of bread in all your places;
(G)Yet you have not returned to Me,”
Says the Lord.
7 “I also withheld rain from you,
When there were still three months to the harvest.
I made it rain on one city,
I withheld rain from another city.
One part was rained upon,
And where it did not rain the part withered.
8 So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water,
But they were not satisfied;
Yet you have not returned to Me,”
Says the Lord.
9 “I(H) blasted you with blight and mildew.
When your gardens increased,
Your vineyards,
Your fig trees,
And your olive trees,
(I)The locust devoured them;
Yet you have not returned to Me,”
Says the Lord.
10 “I sent among you a plague (J)after the manner of Egypt;
Your young men I killed with a sword,
Along with your captive horses;
I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils;
Yet you have not returned to Me,”
Says the Lord.
11 “I overthrew some of you,
As God overthrew (K)Sodom and Gomorrah,
And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning;
Yet you have not returned to Me,”
Says the Lord.
12 “Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel;
Because I will do this to you,
(L)Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!”
13 For behold,
He who forms mountains,
And creates the [c]wind,
(M)Who declares to man what [d]his thought is,
And makes the morning darkness,
(N)Who treads the high places of the earth—
(O)The Lord God of hosts is His name.

and want of bread in all your places:
yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.
7 And also I have withholden the rain from you,
when there were yet three months to the harvest:
and I caused it to rain upon one city,
and caused it not to rain upon another city:
one piece was rained upon,
and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water;
but they were not satisfied:
yet have ye not returned unto me,
saith the Lord.
9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew:
when your gardens and your vineyards
and your fig trees and your olive trees increased,
the palmerworm devoured them:
yet have ye not returned unto me,
saith the Lord.
10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt:
your young men have I slain with the sword,
and have taken away your horses;
and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils:
yet have ye not returned unto me,
saith the Lord.
11 I have overthrown some of you,
as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,
and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning:
yet have ye not returned unto me,
saith the Lord.
12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel:
and because I will do this unto thee,
prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind,
and declareth unto man what is his thought,
that maketh the morning darkness,
and treadeth upon the high places of the earth,
