3 以 色 列 人 哪 ， 你 们 全 家 是 我 从 埃 及 地 领 上 来 的 ， 当 听 耶 和 华 攻 击 你 们 的 话 ：
2 在 地 上 万 族 中 ， 我 只 认 识 你 们 ； 因 此 ， 我 必 追 讨 你 们 的 一 切 罪 孽 。
3 二 人 若 不 同 心 ， 岂 能 同 行 呢 ？
4 狮 子 若 非 抓 食 ， 岂 能 在 林 中 咆 哮 呢 ？ 少 壮 狮 子 若 无 所 得 ， 岂 能 从 洞 中 发 声 呢 ？
5 若 没 有 机 槛 ， 雀 鸟 岂 能 陷 在 网 罗 里 呢 ？ 网 罗 若 无 所 得 ， 岂 能 从 地 上 翻 起 呢 ？
6 城 中 若 吹 角 ， 百 姓 岂 不 惊 恐 呢 ？ 灾 祸 若 临 到 一 城 ， 岂 非 耶 和 华 所 降 的 麽 ？
7 主 耶 和 华 若 不 将 奥 秘 指 示 他 的 仆 人 ─ 众 先 知 ， 就 一 无 所 行 。
8 狮 子 吼 叫 ， 谁 不 惧 怕 呢 ？ 主 耶 和 华 发 命 ， 谁 能 不 说 预 言 呢 ？
9 要 在 亚 实 突 的 宫 殿 中 和 埃 及 地 的 宫 殿 里 传 扬 说 ： 你 们 要 聚 集 在 撒 玛 利 亚 的 山 上 ， 就 看 见 城 中 有 何 等 大 的 扰 乱 与 欺 压 的 事 。
10 那 些 以 强 暴 抢 夺 财 物 、 积 蓄 在 自 己 家 中 的 人 不 知 道 行 正 直 的 事 。 这 是 耶 和 华 说 的 。
11 所 以 主 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 敌 人 必 来 围 攻 这 地 ， 使 你 的 势 力 衰 微 ， 抢 掠 你 的 家 宅 。
12 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 牧 人 怎 样 从 狮 子 口 中 抢 回 两 条 羊 腿 或 半 个 耳 朵 ， 住 撒 玛 利 亚 的 以 色 列 人 躺 卧 在 床 角 上 或 铺 绣 花 毯 的 榻 上 ， 他 们 得 救 也 不 过 如 此 。
13 主 耶 和 华 ─ 万 军 之 神 说 ： 当 听 这 话 ， 警 戒 雅 各 家 。
14 我 讨 以 色 列 罪 的 日 子 ， 也 要 讨 伯 特 利 祭 坛 的 罪 ； 坛 角 必 被 砍 下 ， 坠 落 於 地 。
15 我 要 拆 毁 过 冬 和 过 夏 的 房 屋 。 象 牙 的 房 屋 也 必 毁 灭 ； 高 大 的 房 屋 都 归 无 有 。 这 是 耶 和 华 说 的 。

3 Ascultaţi cuvântul acesta pe care-l rosteşte Domnul împotriva voastră, copii ai lui Israel, împotriva întregii familii pe care am scos-o din ţara Egiptului! 2 ‘Eu v-am ales numai(A) pe voi dintre toate familiile pământului, de aceea(B) vă voi şi pedepsi pentru toate nelegiuirile voastre. 3 Merg oare doi oameni împreună, fără să fie învoiţi? 4 Răcneşte leul în pădure dacă n-are pradă? Zbiară puiul de leu din fundul vizuinei lui dacă n-a prins nimic? 5 Cade pasărea în laţul de pe pământ dacă nu i s-a întins o cursă? Se ridică laţul de la pământ fără să se fi prins ceva în el? 6 Sau sună cineva cu trâmbiţa într-o cetate fără să se înspăimânte poporul? Sau se întâmplă o nenorocire(C) într-o cetate fără s-o fi făcut Domnul? 7 Nu, Domnul, Dumnezeu, nu face nimic fără să-Şi descopere(D) taina Sa slujitorilor Săi proroci. 8 Leul(E) răcneşte: cine(F) nu se va speria? Domnul, Dumnezeu, vorbeşte: cine nu va proroci?’ 9 Strigaţi de pe acoperişul palatelor Asdodului şi de pe palatele ţării Egiptului şi spuneţi: «Strângeţi-vă pe munţii Samariei şi vedeţi ce neorânduială mare este în mijlocul ei, ce asupriri sunt în ea!» 10 Nu(G) sunt în stare să lucreze cu neprihănire, zice Domnul, ci îşi grămădesc în palate comori câştigate prin silnicie şi răpire.’ 11 De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu: ‘Vrăjmaşul(H) va împresura ţara, îţi va doborî tăria şi palatele tale vor fi jefuite!’ 12 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: ‘După cum păstorul scapă din gura leului numai două bucăţi de picioare sau un vârf de ureche, aşa vor scăpa copiii lui Israel care stau în Samaria în colţul unui pat şi pe covoare de Damasc! 13 Ascultaţi şi spuneţi lucrul acesta casei lui Iacov, zice Domnul, Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul oştirilor: 14 «În ziua când voi pedepsi pe Israel pentru fărădelegile lui, voi pedepsi şi altarele din Betel; coarnele altarului vor fi sfărâmate şi vor cădea la pământ. 15 Voi surpa casele de iarnă(I) şi casele de vară(J); palatele de fildeş se vor duce şi casele(K) cele multe se vor nimici, zice Domnul.»’

3 Hear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?
5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?
6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?
7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?
9 Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.
10 For they know not to do right, saith the Lord, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.
11 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.
12 Thus saith the Lord; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.
13 Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord God, the God of hosts,
14 That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Bethel: and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.
15 And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the Lord.

Impossibilité d’échapper au jugement
3 Ecoutez cette parole que l'Eternel prononce contre vous, Israélites,
contre toute la famille que j'ai fait sortir d'Egypte!
2 Je vous ai choisis, vous seuls parmi toutes les familles de la terre,
c'est pourquoi j’interviendrai contre vous pour tous vos péchés.
3 Deux hommes marchent-ils ensemble
sans s'être concertés?
4 Le lion rugit-il dans la forêt
sans avoir une proie?
Le lionceau pousse-t-il des cris du fond de sa tanière
sans avoir fait une capture?
5 L'oiseau tombe-t-il dans le filet qui est à terre
sans qu'il y ait d'appât?
Le filet se referme-t-il
sans avoir pris quelque chose?
6 Sonne-t-on de la trompette dans une ville
sans que le peuple soit dans l'épouvante?
Arrive-t-il un malheur dans une ville
sans que l'Eternel en soit l'auteur?
7 En effet, le Seigneur, l'Eternel, ne fait rien
sans avoir révélé son secret à ses serviteurs les prophètes.
8 Le lion rugit: qui ne serait pas effrayé?
Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, parle: qui pourrait ne pas prophétiser?
9 Faites retentir votre voix dans les palais d'Asdod
et dans les palais de l'Egypte,
et dites: «Rassemblez-vous sur les montagnes de Samarie
et voyez quel immense désordre au milieu d'elle,
quelles violences s'y commettent!»
10 Ils ne savent pas agir avec droiture, déclare l'Eternel,
ils entassent dans leurs palais le produit de la violence et du pillage.
11 C'est pourquoi, voici ce que dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel:
L'ennemi encerclera le pays,
il détruira ta force
et tes palais seront pillés.
12 Voici ce que dit l'Eternel:
Le berger ne peut arracher à la gueule du lion
que deux jambes ou un bout d'oreille,
et c’est ainsi que seront sauvés les Israélites qui sont assis dans Samarie
à l'angle d'un lit et sur des tapis de Damas.
13 Ecoutez et donnez cet avertissement à la communauté de Jacob,
déclare le Seigneur, l'Eternel, le Dieu de l’univers:
14 Le jour où je punirai Israël pour ses transgressions,
je frapperai sur les autels de Béthel;
les cornes de l'autel seront brisées
et tomberont par terre.
15 Je démolirai les maisons d'hiver et les maisons d'été;
les palais d'ivoire seront détruits,
les maisons des grands disparaîtront, déclare l'Eternel.
