² So I will send a fire upon Moab,
    and it shall devour the strongholds of ^(A)Kerioth,
and Moab shall die amid uproar,
    amid shouting and the sound of the trumpet;

^41 (A)the cities shall be taken
    and the strongholds seized.
^(B)The heart of the warriors of Moab shall be in that day
    like the heart of ^(C)a woman in her birth pains;

¹⁴ So I will kindle a fire in the wall of ^(A)Rabbah,
    ^(B)and it shall devour her strongholds,
with shouting on the day of battle,
    ^(C)with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind;

^5 (A)For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult
    and every garment rolled in blood
    will be burned as fuel for the fire.
