¹² “But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink,
And commanded the prophets ^(A)saying,
‘Do not prophesy!’

¹³ But ^(A)never again prophesy at Bethel,
^(B)For it is the king’s ^[a]sanctuary,
And it is the royal ^[b]residence.”

^10 (A)Who say to the seers, “Do not see,”
And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things;
^(B)Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.

⁶ “Do not prattle,” you say to those who ^[a]prophesy.
So they shall not prophesy ^[b]to you;
^[c]They shall not return insult for insult.

¹⁶ Now therefore, hear the word of the Lord:
You say, ‘Do not prophesy against Israel,
And ^(A)do not ^[a]spout against the house of Isaac.’
