Amos 9:10-12
Living Bible

10 But all these sinners who say, ‘God will not touch us,’ will die by the sword.

11 “Then, at that time I will rebuild the City of David, which is now lying in ruins, and return it to its former glory, 12 and Israel will possess what is left of Edom and of all the nations that belong to me.” For so the Lord, who plans it all, has said.

10 All the sinners among my people
    will die by the sword,(A)
all those who say,
    ‘Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’(B)

Israel’s Restoration

11 “In that day

“I will restore David’s(C) fallen shelter(D)—
    I will repair its broken walls
    and restore its ruins(E)—
    and will rebuild it as it used to be,(F)
12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom(G)
    and all the nations that bear my name,[a](H)”
declares the Lord, who will do these things.(I)
