24 But let justice flow like water,
and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.(A)

25 “House of Israel, was it sacrifices and grain offerings that you presented to me during the forty years in the wilderness?(B) 26 But you have taken up[a] Sakkuth your king and Kaiwan your star god,[b] images you have made for yourselves.(C)

24 But let justice(A) roll on like a river,
    righteousness(B) like a never-failing stream!(C)

25 “Did you bring me sacrifices(D) and offerings
    forty years(E) in the wilderness, people of Israel?
26 You have lifted up the shrine of your king,
    the pedestal of your idols,(F)
    the star of your god[a]—
    which you made for yourselves.
