Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again[c] with squares and moat, (R)but in a troubled time. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall (S)be cut off and shall have nothing. (W)Desolations are decreed. 27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week,[e] and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. 25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild(H) Jerusalem until the Anointed One,[d](I) the ruler,(J) comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.(K) 26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death(L) and will have nothing.[e] The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood:(M) War will continue until the end, and desolations(N) have been decreed.(O) 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’[f] In the middle of the ‘seven’[g] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple[h] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed(P) is poured out on him.[i]”[j]
