Amos 1:9-11

9 Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Tyre and for four I will not revoke the punishment,[a] because they delivered up a whole community to Edom and they did not remember the covenant of brotherhood! 10 So I will send a fire against the wall of Tyre and it will devour its citadel fortresses.”

11 Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Edom and for four I will not revoke the punishment,[b] because he pursued his brother with the sword! He stifled his compassion and his anger tore them apart continually,[c] and he kept his rage forever.

9 This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Tyre,(A)
    even for four, I will not relent.(B)
Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom,
    disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,(C)
10 I will send fire on the walls of Tyre
    that will consume her fortresses.(D)”

11 This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Edom,(E)
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because he pursued his brother with a sword(F)
    and slaughtered the women of the land,
because his anger raged continually
    and his fury flamed unchecked,(G)
