Acts 27:21-26
New International Version
21 After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice(A) not to sail from Crete;(B) then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. 22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage,(C) because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. 23 Last night an angel(D) of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve(E) stood beside me(F) 24 and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar;(G) and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’(H) 25 So keep up your courage,(I) men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.(J) 26 Nevertheless, we must run aground(K) on some island.”(L)
Acts 27:21-26
English Standard Version
21 Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, (A)you should have listened to me and not have set sail from Crete and incurred this (B)injury and loss. 22 Yet now I urge you to (C)take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. 23 For this very night (D)there (E)stood before me (F)an angel of the God (G)to whom I belong and (H)whom I worship, 24 and he said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; (I)you must stand before Caesar. And behold, (J)God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ 25 So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told. 26 But (K)we must (L)run aground on some island.”

21 [a]When many had lost their appetites, Paul then stood among them and said, “[b](A)Men, you should have followed my advice and not have set sail from (B)Crete, and thereby spared yourselves this (C)damage and loss. 22 And yet now I urge you to (D)keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. 23 For this very night (E)an angel of the God to whom I belong, (F)whom I also serve, (G)came to me, 24 saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; (H)you must stand before Caesar; and behold, God has graciously granted you (I)all those who are sailing with you.’ 25 Therefore, (J)keep up your courage, men, for I believe God that [c]it will turn out exactly as I have been told. 26 But we must (K)run aground on a certain (L)island.”
