Ik heb mannen en vrouwen gevangen genomen en gedood. 5 De hogepriester en de hele Vergadering van Joodse leiders weten dat het waar is wat ik zeg. Van hen had ik brieven gekregen om ook in Damaskus mensen gevangen te mogen nemen. Ik wilde hen naar Jeruzalem brengen om hen daar te laten straffen.
