Acts 22:4-5

⁴^(A)I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women, ⁵as also the high priest bears me witness, and ^(B)all the council of the elders, ^(C)from whom I also received letters to the brethren, and went to Damascus ^(D)to bring in chains even those who were there to Jerusalem to be punished.

From them I received letters to ^(F)the brothers, and I journeyed toward Damascus to take those also who were there and bring them in bonds to Jerusalem to be punished.

⁴I persecuted^(A) the followers of this Way^(B) to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison,^(C) ⁵as the high priest and all the Council^(D) can themselves testify. I even obtained letters from them to their associates^(E) in Damascus,^(F) and went there to bring these people as prisoners to Jerusalem to be punished.
