26 (A)When he came to Jerusalem, he tried repeatedly to associate with the disciples; and yet they were all afraid of him, as they did not believe that he was a disciple. 27 But (B)Barnabas took hold of him and brought him to the apostles and described to them how he had (C)seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him, and how (D)he had (E)spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus at Damascus. 28 And he was with them, [a]moving about freely in Jerusalem, (F)speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 And he was talking and arguing with the [b](G)Hellenistic Jews; but they were attempting to put him to death. 30 Now when (H)the [c]brothers learned of it, they brought him down to (I)Caesarea and (J)sent him away to (K)Tarsus.

26 And when he had come to Jerusalem he attempted to join the disciples; and they were all afraid of him, for they did not believe that he was a disciple. 27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how on the road he had seen the Lord, who spoke to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus. 28 So he went in and out among them at Jerusalem, 29 preaching boldly in the name of the Lord. And he spoke and disputed against the Hellenists; but they were seeking to kill him. 30 And when the brethren knew it, they brought him down to Caesare′a, and sent him off to Tarsus.
