⁷ The men who were traveling with him stood speechless because they heard the voice but saw no one.^(A)

⁹ Now those who were with me saw the light but did not hear the voice of the one who was speaking to me.^(A)

⁷ I, Daniel, alone saw the vision; the people who were with me did not see the vision, though a great trembling fell upon them, and they fled and hid themselves.^(A)

¹³ when at midday along the road, Your Excellency,^[a] I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and my companions. ¹⁴ When we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew^[b] language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It hurts you to kick against the goads.’^(A)

²⁹ The crowd standing there heard it and said that it was thunder. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.”

⁴⁰ Then two will be in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left.^{(A) 41} Two women will be grinding meal together; one will be taken, and one will be left.
