⁷ The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound^(A) but did not see anyone.^(B)

⁹ My companions saw the light,^(A) but they did not understand the voice^(B) of him who was speaking to me.

⁷ I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; those who were with me did not see it,^(A) but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves.

¹³ About noon, King Agrippa, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. ¹⁴ We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice^(A) saying to me in Aramaic,^[a](B) ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

²⁹ The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.
