Saul in Jerusalem

²⁶ And ^(A)when he had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join the disciples. And they were all afraid of him, for they did not believe that he was a disciple. ²⁷ But ^(B)Barnabas took him and ^(C)brought him to the apostles and declared to them ^(D)how on the road he had seen the Lord, who spoke to him, and ^(E)how at Damascus he had ^(F)preached boldly in the name of Jesus. ²⁸ So he went ^(G)in and out among them at Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.

²¹ And ^(A)the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed ^(B)turned to the Lord. ²² The report of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. ²³ When he came and saw ^(C)the grace of God, he was glad, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord ^(D)with steadfast purpose, ²⁴ for he was a good man, ^(E)full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people ^(F)were added to the Lord.

³³ And with great ^(A)power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and ^(B)great grace was upon them all. ^34 (C)There was not a needy person among them, for ^(D)as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold ³⁵ and ^(E)laid it at the apostles' feet, and ^(F)it was distributed to each as any had need. ³⁶ Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means ^(G)son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus, ³⁷ sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and ^(H)laid it at the apostles' feet.
