Saul at Jerusalem

²⁶ And ^(A)when Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple.

²⁰ but ^(A)declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do ^(B)works befitting repentance.

¹⁷ nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.

¹⁸ Then after three years ^(B)I went up to Jerusalem to see ^[a]Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. ¹⁹ But ^(C)I saw none of the other apostles except ^(D)James, the Lord’s brother.

¹⁷ “Now ^(A)it happened, when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I was in a trance ¹⁸ and ^(B)saw Him saying to me, ^(C)‘Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, for they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.’ ¹⁹ So I said, ‘Lord, ^(D)they know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and ^(E)beat those who believe on You. ^20 (F)And when the blood of Your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by ^(G)consenting ^[a]to his death, and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.’

¹⁹ So when he had received food, he was strengthened. ^(A)Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus.

⁴ And this occurred because of ^(A)false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our ^(B)liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, ^(C)that they might bring us into bondage),

Prayer for Boldness^(A)

²³ And being let go, ^(B)they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

¹⁷ But beware of men, for ^(A)they will deliver you up to councils and ^(B)scourge you in their synagogues. ^18 (C)You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. ^19 (D)But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For ^(E)it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;

¹⁰ And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
