²⁰ and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.”

²⁸ Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

¹⁴ And we have seen and do testify that the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world. ¹⁵ God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.^(A)

²⁰ and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,^[a] who loved me and gave himself for me.^(A)

²³ they only heard it said, “The one who formerly was persecuting us is now proclaiming the faith he once tried to destroy.” ²⁴ And they glorified God because of me.

²⁷ But Barnabas took him, brought him to the apostles, and described for them how on the road he had seen the Lord, who had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.^{(A) 28} So he went in and out among them in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.

⁴⁹ Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”^(A)

⁴³ He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he wants to, for he said, ‘I am God’s Son.’ ”^(A)

⁶³ But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I put you under oath before the living God, tell us if you are the Messiah,^[a] the Son of God.”^{(A) 64} Jesus said to him, “You have said so. But I tell you,

⁶⁵ Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “He has blasphemed! Why do we still need witnesses? You have now heard his blasphemy.^{(C) 66} What do you think?” They answered, “He deserves death.”^(D)

³ The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.”^(A)
