¹⁴ And here he has authority from ^(A)the chief priests to bind all who ^(B)call on your name.”

²¹ And all who heard him were amazed and said, “Is not this the man who ^(A)made havoc ^(B)in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?”

⁵⁹ And as they were stoning Stephen, ^(A)he called out, “Lord Jesus, ^(B)receive my spirit.”

²² So ^(A)flee ^(B)youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with ^(C)those who call on the Lord ^(D)from a pure heart.

² To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those ^(A)sanctified in Christ Jesus, ^(B)called to be saints together with all those who in every place ^(C)call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:

¹⁶ And now why do you wait? ^(A)Rise and be baptized and ^(B)wash away your sins, ^(C)calling on his name.’

² and asked him for letters ^(A)to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to ^(B)the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. ^3 (C)Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.

^12 (A)For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; ^(B)for the same Lord is Lord of all, ^(C)bestowing his riches on all who call on him. ¹³ For ^(D)“everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

¹⁴ How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him ^(E)of whom they have never heard?^[a] And how are they to hear ^(F)without someone preaching?
