Ananias Baptizes Saul

¹⁰ Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus ^(A)named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.”

And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”

¹² “Then ^(A)a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the law, ^(B)having a good testimony with all the ^(C)Jews who dwelt there,

³ About ^[a]the ninth hour of the day ^(A)he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!”

⁸ Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

Abraham’s Faith Confirmed^(A)

22 Now it came to pass after these things that ^(B)God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”

And he said, “Here I am.”

²⁶ But if He says thus: ‘I have no ^(A)delight in you,’ here I am, ^(B)let Him do to me as seems good to Him.”

⁸ And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you did call me.”

Then Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy. ⁹ Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say, ^(A)‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

¹⁰ Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”

And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.”

⁴ that the Lord called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!”

⁴ So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called ^(A)to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!”

And he said, “Here I am.”

¹¹ Then ^(A)the Angel of God spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Jacob.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.’
