9 Now there was a man named Simon, who formerly was practicing (A)magic in the city and astounding the people of Samaria, (B)claiming to be someone great; 10 and they all, from smallest to greatest, were giving attention to him, saying, “(C)This man is what is called the Great Power of God.” 11 And they were giving him attention because he had for a long time astounded them with his (D)magic arts. 12 But when they believed Philip (E)proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were being (F)baptized, both men and women. 13 Even Simon himself believed; and after being baptized, he continued on with Philip, and as he observed (G)signs and (H)great miracles taking place, he was constantly astounded.

9 Now a certain man named Simon had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, saying that he was someone great.(A) 10 All of them, from the least to the greatest, listened to him eagerly, saying, “This man is the power of God that is called Great.”(B) 11 And they listened eagerly to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his magic. 12 But when they believed Philip, who was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.(C) 13 Even Simon himself believed. After being baptized, he stayed constantly with Philip and was amazed when he saw the signs and great miracles that took place.(D)
