^5 (A)Philip went down to the city^[a] of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.

⁵ And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, ^(A)a man full of faith and ^(B)of the Holy Spirit, and ^(C)Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, ^(D)a proselyte of Antioch.

⁸ On the next day we departed and came to Caesarea, and we entered the house of ^(A)Philip ^(B)the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.

⁴⁰ But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he preached the gospel to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.

¹¹ For no one can lay a ^(A)foundation other ^(B)than that which is laid, ^(C)which is Jesus Christ.

²³ but we preach Christ ^(A)crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,

³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and ^(A)beginning with this Scripture ^(B)he told him the good news about Jesus. ³⁶ And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! ^(C)What prevents me from being baptized?”^[a]

² For I decided to know nothing among you except ^(A)Jesus Christ and him crucified.

² And Paul went in, ^(A)as was his custom, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them ^(B)from the Scriptures, ^3 (C)explaining and proving that it was necessary for ^(D)the Christ to suffer and ^(E)to rise from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.”

²⁰ And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, ^(A)“He is the Son of God.”
