³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, ^(A)and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.

²⁷ And beginning at ^(A)Moses and ^(B)all the Prophets, He ^[a]expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

²⁸ for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, ^(A)showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.

²³ So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, ^(A)to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus ^(B)from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening.

² Then He opened His mouth and ^(A)taught them, saying:

² For I determined not to know anything among you ^(A)except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

¹¹ searching what, or what manner of time, ^(A)the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. ¹² To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to ^[a]us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which ^(B)angels desire to look into.

²¹ if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:

¹¹ O Corinthians! ^[a]We have spoken openly to you, ^(A)our heart is wide open.

²³ but we preach Christ crucified, ^(A)to the Jews a ^[a]stumbling block and to the ^[b]Greeks ^(B)foolishness,
